Eris 2.1 leak Bug's and Fixes

Ok, so I guess my question might have been too long or poorly worded. This is mostly directed at anyone who is not experiencing a "Time without a signal" around or above 50%. If you aren't experiencing this, do you have any idea why? Does anyone else have any idea why?
 
How do I completely "unlink" my contacts/People from Facebook ? Under "People", for my wife, it shows a picture I chose as well as her "firstname lastname". That info comes from my Google Contacts, as I recall. In the text message app, it's showing her Facebook profile pic and her name as "firstname maiden-name lastname" (she does that so old friends can find her).
 
With regards to battery charging, mine has been even better! It used to take about 4 hours to go from 10% to fully charged. Since updating to 2.1, it has taken my phone 3 hours to go from 10% to fully charged while I sit at work and listen to Pandora/Music the whole time.
 
For why Google released products like this look how long Gmail and Google Maps were in 'beta' where the end user thought the product was in no such state!
 
Easytether Beta (pre-update eliminating HTTPS) is working well with 2.1

Still can't figure out the tactile vibration thing. I've turned it off but it's still using the vibration in texting.

Some setttings are not saving.

Got all my contacts easily through gmail + some I do not consider important.

Since renstalling using the version from Caddyman's link I no longer have to relogin every reboot.... i have rebooted 5 times so far

Also, i am able to edit the "ME" contact card

There are two locations to turn off the vibrate when pressing buttons, that I know of. One is under the normal settings of your phone, the other location is under the settings of your keyboard (press the cog wheel when your keyboard is up).
 
Wow...I'm still amazed that people are thinking one of the leaked "versions" is better than the other. They are the SAME versions. But, to each their own if they want to wipe everything again and start all over. Has it occurred to some people that different bugs are popping up for different people because this is not a finished build?
 
Regardless, they should be the same bugs right? The difference must be apps or something happening during install

Yup, we all have different apps, different setups, different usages, etc. Some of us are just lucky and got the right combination to have hardly any bugs at all. :)
 
not sure if it's related, but now i can't go to the full version of the facebook site. i could last night, though, with 2.1. just not today. phone acting bizarre today.

I put Caddy's on after the original 2.1 leak. I cleaned my Eris out first and have had a few less issues than the 2.1. More consistent service, I see a lot of people posting with service issues, I had problems as well, also some sync issues for me do not exist. I give battery info later, full charge my 1750 tomorrow probably. But my phone is running faster overall with most apps working. I would agree that give it some time, it'll probably run a little cleaner if you give it a day or two.

EDIT: Still have the gmail login..will reboot one more time tonight to see.
 
I just rebooted for the first time today, at work on 1.5 I would get 3-4 bars all day long. Yesterday, after I installed 2.1 I was only at 2 bars max. After reboot today, I'm back to 3 bars all afternoon.

I still had to log-on to google on re-boot, but that's not a big deal to me.
Chomp seems to be working great.....nice app!
 
Can someone post a link to caddymans download. I'm not having to many issues but would Like to test out this theory and see if the same bugs are present.

I did a factory reset to get all the apps and info off of the phone.

Make a list of your apps before you do this. The double restart made a bunch of them disappear in the market for me.

IMO, these are distinctly application problems, not install related. And by application, I mean all the way down to the Android level, up to and including apps like GMail.
 
ok this may be off topic but idc. I just downloaded mybackup pro so if i back all my stuff up and update my phone and it wipes everything off i wont be able to download the app from the market after the upgrade to restore because it is protected or what ever right? ... so how do i back my stuff up? sms is the main thing i am worried about
