Orange ENC2 File ROM decrypted into intergrated package - Problem Flashing

Hello all

I've read many threads and posts but nothing is clear for me to pick out the answer I need, hence the reason for this thread and I'm sure any answers will help out any other curious people in the same predicament.

Basically I have a S2 with ICS 4.0.3 LPH - with unsecure kernel installed and am trying to go back to an original Orange ROM.

I have downloaded via check fus downloader:

I9100BVKJ4_I9100ORAKJ4_I9100BVKJ4_HOME.tar.md5 - which came from an ENC2 file!

It contains the 3 files needed for Odin.

PDA

PHONE

CSC

How do I split the I9100BVKJ4_I9100ORAKJ4_I9100BVKJ4_HOME.tar.md5 file ??

I've input the file into the PDA box in odin 1.83 and tried odin multi 4.83, but keep getting FAIL messages after trying to flash phone.

Alternatively I can use winrar to open the file to see whats inside and I see the files I need, but again they are not seen by odin as MD5 files!!

So what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Fisrts I think I need to 'UNROOT' the xxlph version of ICS 4.0.3 and install back a 'secure' kernel.

Then try the integrated Orange carrier ROM.

Trouble is a lot of the mega upload links don't work for me for some reason ??

So I can't download the secure kernel:

Orange Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 Official Firmware Updates and Stock ROMs ~ Android ROMS

Again I have downloaded 3 Orange ROMS from various places and there all integrated packages which inserting into PDA box in odin does not work.

It may work if I unroot and install any secure kernel back via the PDA box??

Ahh this is pi*****g me off!!

Thats what I thought...mmm

Have a look at these pics.

3 different results try that exact method of flashing via the PDA box with the I9100BVKJ4_I9100ORAKJ4_I9100BVKJ4_HOME.tar file

I have 3 exact integrated files that I have tried too from different sources just to be sure.

I have also opened the file to see the contents and there all there too!

I have the phone in USB DEBUG mode, turned off and restarted in download mode - vol button down, home + on together.

Vol up to accept install of ROM.

I've spent all day on this, what a waste of a day - should on,y take 20 mins at most to do this ROM swap / flash!

File analysis
Setupconnection
Initialization
set PIT file
DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
Can't open the specified file. (Line 1876)
All threads completed. (suceed 0 / failed 1)

I get this response if the phone is set:

USB DEBUG 'ON'

or

USB DEBUG 'OFF'

I'm baffled !!

4th copy of the Orange Stock Rom downloaded from Hotfile, XDA, check fus and anywhere else that has it...

I9100BVKJ4_I9100ORAKJ4_I9100BVKJ4_HOME.tar

and Odin just freezes on setup connection - re partition un checked or not !!

Re; Slug

Cheers you were right!

I downloaded another copy from this site :

Orange Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100/GT-I9100P Firmware Updates List and Stock ROMs | Android Firmware Updates

Came from Hotfile and works / installs just right.

So changing back to stock rom from custom rom is as easy as I thought it was, I don't know what the problem was yesterday.

I only changed back as 'SAMSUNG KIES' does not recognize custom roms and if there's any official stable updates I want to be able to get them promptly without guessing which rom is the most upto date etc.

Hopefully this will help others out too, who want to go back to stock roms.

All the best. ;)
