Help Flashed ICS Multi CSC ROM - Kies says can no longer update phone ?

I downloaded a Official ROM from XDA for ICS.

The rom has a csc for my region (XEU)

Now Kies says it can no longer check or update my phone

ICS hasn't been released onto Kies by Samsung yet for XEU - Could this be why ? ? ? ?

Just want to know for future.

Would you be able to put a link up to the ROM you have flashed? If ICS is not yet available on the SGS II officially and you have flashed a custom ROM, then that would be why you can no longer check for updates (as you're not running stock firmware).

As I say, if you let us see the link, then we will be able to give you a better answer.

I have used the official H3G software via Samfirmware on an unlocked CPW phone and had the same message from kies. I will flash with the official CPW version when it finnaly comes out. Hopefully that will correct the kies issue. Am I correct in this assumption?

Yes, once the officlal update for your handset (CPW) is released.
