Our Site Rules & Guidelines state otherwise. Yes, it would be nice if folk searched before posting, but it's not a requirement.
 
All this does is speed up the phone itself without changing the ROM installed, can someone elaborate a bit more on what this actually does since I'm a bit nervous to just go on and do this not knowing whats different?
 
Cyanogenmod 7 is a totally different rom, but it makes the most out of an android phone.
Extra features, such as, louder speakers, theme changers, etc.

No worries. Well, camera is broke, data is broke, and I need to do some more hacking to get DSP Manager working, but we're getting somewhere.
 
phones working for me, but a few people in my adddress book gave me a SIM/No SIM error when i called.
also, after i ran the command in adb, the phone status in settings/about phone went from the normal cdma auto listing back to the gsm listing. wifi still works, battery works, and cm opting in showed up
 
I Was Able To Install It And It's Awesome!!!! Super Smooth And Fast As Hell. The Auto Brightness Isn't Working. I Was Able To Make And Receive Phone Calls And Texts.WiFi Works Fine But GPS Doesn't. No Data Or MMS. I Tried Updating My PRL Through *228 And Got A No SIM Card Error. Also It Won't Display My Signal Strength, Phone Number, Carrier, And The Mobile Network State Says Disconnected. Thank You requisite0 For Such An Amazing Job. Let Me Know If You Need Me To Try Anything!!! Keep It Up!!!!
 
Hey people im getting an error when trying to install my old backup on cwm it gives me an error when trying to restore my system and i cant mount it either after and now only cm7 works anyone help me out here

once you have flashed old cwm(5.0.2.7) via odin, try formating data and system and then restore the backup you made. worked for me :)
 
somehow odin doesnt work for me using custom rom eventhough i have usb debbuging enabled just make a zip file with the old recovery in it
