req, just to let you know... i modified your install script to only install the recovery for myself (not ready to switch to CWM, i need my phone ATM) and it boots into the 2.3.4 that im using just fine. currently doing a backup to see that it restores correctly.
just to make sure... if i update my kernel to your new one it wont boot up my current setup? (meaning if i update my kernel i MUST update my ROM, right?) havent tried it yet, thats why i'm asking...
I cant get the adb shell to work though...if u dont get how to stop the force closing do this:
adb shell
su
then right click+ paste (ctrl+v wont work, it'll just show ^v)
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db 'update secure set value="1" where name="preferred_network_mode"'
should work..
I dunno if your on right now, but what are you working on now, requiste?
Its from koush......metro fix....i flashed by accident and sure enough....stopped the phone forceclose without adb

damn, I was really hoping that would work but it didnt.
If you have a recent CWM backup, try going to advanced restore and restoring data only.
I got an error while formatting /data. should I switch back to the old cwm and restore the data from there but keep the cm rom?
Nah, just flash the old CWM and do a full restore. I've got the phone crash issue resolved. I'll be releasing Alpha3 soon. And if data doesn't work this time I'm going to lose my shit lol.
ooooooooohhhhh how soon? I might just keep trying to figure out adb and wait for it. phones not good for much right now anyways
