notifications ????

Does anyone know if the "ice cream sandwich" will allow multiple notifications instead of just one single notification??????
 
Well, unless you know something that many people don't know. On my "note", if I get a text, I get a notification via a ringtone and in the notification bar. That's it. At least for audio notifications. Yes, on the main screen it says I have a text, but no more audio. So, If my wife has her "note' in her pocketbook and I text her and she doesn't hear that "one" audio notification, then unless she "LOOKS" at the phone ( eventually), then she will not be aware of any text. Now "you" say it allows multiple notifications. If you google "mutiple notifications on my android you will find a multitude of people making reference to only a single notification. So, here-in, is where you have me confused. Please supply me (and all the others), the "string" via the menu to get mutiple text notifications on my "note"......thanks

Your initial question was so absolutely vague, and did not mention multiple audio notifications for a single notifiable event at all.

No need to be so passive aggressive when someone tries to help.

Maybe fix your initial question with more details and you will get a response that makes you happier.
 
I think you are right (and the other threads).

I remember my previous phone would give multiple audio alerts on missed notifications - i think 10 minutes apart. This phone is so new to me I haven't noticed it missing (yet).

Like most people here, I have been pouring over the settings lately, learning this new phone and O.S. but I haven't seen anything that resembles what you ask about.

I think ICS is out for other devices?

maybe a post in their forums to see if it is a feature? Then we might know if we are getting it.

Would be nice.
 
You can get "multiple" notifications from an app called "Handcent". You get that option and a trillion other options with Handcent, but i didn't want to put more and more apps on my phone and then have to re-learn my text program all over again. It may be simple and even better, but I'm just fine with the text program w/ the note except for that one issue. I don't need fancy screens and fancy windows that you can get w/ handcent........just the multilple notifications...thanks
 
Go SMS Pro gives you options for multiple notifications, custom vibrate patterns and a lot more. It was the first thing I installed after I did my factory reset.
 
hey guys..
i am currently using an app called "chomp" (free on the market :-)) this app allows you to customise everything regarding sms...ie.. look,fonts,colors,background etc..but most of all notifications.
it will alow you to customise the amount of notification repeats and the time between each repeat.
 
I found a fabulous app for audio and visual notifications. Called "NO LED".
Can set how often for audio notifications and also gives a visual icon on a blank screen......Love it!
