Root Help. Can sprint know im rooted?

I will upgrade my phone to an iphone 4s in a few. The sprint store said they will give me a credit for my evo 4g. Now, my evo is rooted. Do i need to unroot or can i sell it to them as is???

I think you will need to unroot for that. U do realize the I phone does not have 4G but you will still have to pay the 10 bucks for mobile data.
 
Theres lots of things you can do to improve battery life. Rooting by itself won't affect your battery life, its the things you do after you have root access that can help or hurt it.


I'm refraining as much as I can from giving my views on apple products and their infamous "walled garden" approach

Did you try a custom kernel?

With a little troubleshooting I'm sure we can fix it. I rarely use 4G and I'm completely content paying for the premium data. It's still cheaper than the tiered data plans from the other carriers
 
I wouldn't even think of giving up my Android for a crappy iPhone. I would rather have a crappy battery life than have a phone from a company that thinks I should be a mindless drone and conform to their way of thinking.

OH crap I did it again sorry :o I just get a little dramatic at times :p

Battery life can be fixed fairly easily by doing several different things. However what will kill more battery life than anything is the phone constantly looking for signals. If not using a radio turn it off. No need to have the phone search for WiFi if your not using it. Same with 4g, 3g, bluetooth, and of course WiFi.
 
Thank you all for your comments, Iphones may not be the perfect phone but I have already made my mind. I mean i have tried several things and battery won't last more than 2hrs! Now, can someone help me unroot?
 
What's your awake time? Sounds like a wake lock to me.

Why don't you first just try to trade in the phone rooted? What's the worst that can happen? They say no, you leave and then unroot and go back another time.
