bootloop of sorts, on locale screen
or
into recovery
or both:confused:

Both ways would have you pull the esternal sd from the phone and download the files to the card via computer to flash them in recovery:
FIRST:Flash in recovery http://androidforums.com/esteem-all...w-get-out-clockworkmod-recovery-bootloop.html

Or follow the direction here:http://androidforums.com/esteem-all...d-recovery-stock-bloated-zvd.html#post4075790

If you make backups through cwm it defaults the save to external. If you make backups through rom manager it default saves to internal.

Just for future reference :D

whats the difference between restore and advanced restore?

Restore simply puts your phone back to an earlier state by selecting one file...advanced restore does the same thing only by restoring each one of the six files individually. If your were to copy a backup to your CPU and extract it you will see each one of the six files that contained within a single backup.

yeah im good. before my restore, when i was booting up, it skipped the animations after the lg screen, then there was a gray bar that kept disappearing and reappearing at the top of the screen saying "locale" and would vibrate everytime it reappeared, i could get into recovery, and yeah, it was cwm how i backed up. i cant remember excactly as i just woke up but i believed i went through normal restore, advanced was a few folders.... and had the option to restore from _extsd which as soon as i selected it showed folders of cwm, rtb, and tibu, all of which had backups (just dated folders, my bad :/ ) in them so i just loaded the biggest and recent one.

the lg update tool recognized it, and tried a recovery from there at first thinking it would restore to out of the box, but it just tried to update XD maybe they should change the name of that option!

at first i was scared it was cwm because it took forever to get into recovery every time, but when i went to reboot, it tried to reboot. i was about to crap myself and try to (somehow) warranty it today if it was in fact, bricked. the downside to that now is my local metro store said i would get the connect now because they have stopped getting the esteem :/ why would i want to downgrade?!

thanks for your responses, yes im good, and you guys are in fact, awesome
