Root Deleting roms after flashing?

:confused:Is it safe to delete a custom rom like MIUI after flashing it in recovery? because the zip files take up over 100MB of data on my SD card and i need some space on it. I just dont want to delete the zip files and mess a whole bunch of stuff up:confused:

I keep copies of all the roms I've tried on my external drive, along with kernels. I'm a pack rat! :D

Also its probably a good idea to keep one Rom.zip on the card in case of an emergency. Like a nandroid getting corrupted, as stated above. It's not necessary though. :)

I always have a ROM on my card. If your tight on space maybe clear out some nandroids I recommend keeping no more than 3

I've got a 16gb card and I keep all the relevant ROMS and kernels on it.

Right now theres MikG3.11, Tommy's Classic, MIUI, AOKP, and an ICS MIUI along with all the AnthraX kernels, Aggressive freedom, and Tiamat :D

Might be time for some spring cleaning. I've been thinking about reformatting the SD card because its been slowing down.

I keep a nandroid of MikG and one of MIUI but they get deleted as a new one gets made.

A little off subject but, how would one know when sd card is slowing down?
And does too many writing to, and deleting from, card "wear" it out?

Best investment you can make. 32 gig class 10 is 50 on eBay.then you can use boot manager and have as manyvroms as u want on the SD. I have a roms, bootable on mine. Plus about 10 on deck.for flashing ..like 5 gigs of music and a bunch of files. I still have over 15 gigs left of free space. Best investment for your EVO. :)

I'm a pack rat and an addict. Been away from flashing ROMs since last summer and am back and there are too many ROMs still out there. I still have some old GB and Froyo roms sitting on my card. I need to delete those!

Thanks a lot guys. That was all very helpful and i will definitely have to get a bigger SD card. i have so many GBA and PsX roms on my SD card i run out of space very quickly. Again, thanks a bunch everyone :D
