Root OMG I Hard Bricked My Admire

I Cant Believe I Broke My Phone!!!
I Rooted It. & It Was Working Just Fine.
Somehow I Was Convinced To Try & Flash A Custom ROM With ROM Manager. It Asked Me To Save The Current One. I Pressed Okay & Now I'm Screwed.
My Phone Wont Power On Nothing. I Tried Everything!!!
I Dont Know What Else To Do.
Is There Anything Left I Can Try? :(
 
Try to get into download mode: take battery out, put it back in. plug usb into computer (with the samsung drivers already installed to pc). Then hold down the camera button on phone while plugging usb into phone. Continue to hold camera button down until an error screen with green text pops up. Press the volume UP key. You're now in Download mode. Follow the steps in this thread:

[ACS] THE ODIN THREAD: Return to stock

Kick yourself for not doing research prior to "taking the jump".
Punch in the face whoever 'convinced' you to use ROM manager.

Sorry the jig didn't work for you.

Messing around with your phone (or anything for that matter) can be risky if you don't know 100% of what you're doing. That's why it's always important to do your research, make backups (if available), read some more to learn from others' mistakes (they were a good number of people on this forum that bricked their phone using ROM Manager before you posted), then give it a go.

Sorry for the rant. Just didn't want your one bad experience to ruin your fun :)
 
The good thing is, now you know to research BEFORE you flash anything, and you know not to listen to "somebody" without verifying what they're saying. The general rule to follow is, if it doesn't say it's specifically for your phone, don't flash it.

That said, don't be afraid to jump back in, because following the correct steps is very unlikely to land you in the same situation in which following the wrong steps did.
 
its really not hard to flash custom roms to the admire... i have only been flashing roms and kernels for a week. i am self tought and have hard bricked my phone repeatedly. best advice i ever got i will pass on to all that reads. READ UP AND READ FORUMS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. AND DONT OVER THINK THINGS. IF IT SEEMS TO EASY, IT PROBABLY IS. i read over *2500* forum posts per day researching how to and the effects of what i want to try. oh yeah, and ODIN needs to be your best friend lol. ODIN is the only way i have read about that works 100% all the time. hope this helps someone

*EDIT* 2500 supposed to be 250 hahaha i dont read that damn much

Maybe that post should be stickied.

Anywho, rom manager is kinda crap anyway. Most of the downloads available are either nightlies or not roms. Plus I know a trick in cwm that you can use to get your data and apps back from the previous rom I used. Can't do it in rom manager.

I dont know if Iminthe right spot, but someonepleasehelpme!!!!!!! Triedrooting my Admire now all I have is black screen with Samsung logo. Ive tried everything
