***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

Heck, most of us in here spend (read: waste) most of our days drooling over our keyboards frantically hitting the F5 key in hopes that some developer in Taiwan will post yet another blurry photo of what looks like could be something that looks something similar to what might be our beloved Incredible, inedible, Droid.

Yep, there were a couple new Incredible taken photos tonight. Sadly a Winnie the Pooh thermos was the most exciting picture.

Wouldn't surprise me that they data mine to an extent. Looking for keywords like their phone model names.

Probably right on. I figured since it was stated as fact, and had a winking emotocon at the end, maybe OP has some actual knowledge of VZW trolling this site beyond data mining.

Verizon has cunningly infiltrated this thread, spreading rumors and half-truths calculated to whip up a March 23rd buying frenzy of biblical proportions.

i didnt mention anything bout it cuz he's trying to push it off as fact, when really he's just regurgitating the speculated rumors we all know about. he has no source or inside connection.

Thanks for not posting and getting our hopes up when your BS meter was in the red.

The highs and lows we all experience while waiting for this phone are effing out of control!

Great, if that's the case then perhaps I'll hold off on all HTC phones and look at upgrading to a newer Blackberry and get a one year plan in hopes that Motorola comes out with something more kick-ass than the Droid by then. This is getting more depressing as the days and hours wear on. :(
Yea, Very little of what Verizon actually does has me slated as a die hard fan of VZW. I don't see HTC benefitting my Cellular & ANDROID needs. If HTC actually is the downfall, and we'll see if the Incredible actually has a measley 256 mgs, and I've waited since before Thanksgiving, I will not resign all interest in VZW. I can't rely on "Faith" That Motorolla's Nexus Two will be out anytime by the summer's commence, and if VZW Will even get that phone. Other service providers presently are offereing the HD2, The Nexus 1, The Supersonic. I'm not going to list any motorola phones. Palm pre also rings a bell. I am not benefitting with my lame phone company, and their akward procedures with HTC and Google providing me with fewer android phones far greater apart in release than other wireless providers. Why did the NEO Geo go out of bussines, Turbo Graffix 16, Atari Jaguar, Sega Dreamcast? I'm aware VZW, and HTC Will not go out of busienss. I'm simply comparing the sparse release of quality products with other known legendary dissapointments.

No, sorry. No "insider info." I was just satirizing the nature of this thread.

Thanks for clarifying. This is what we are (read I am) reduced to: reading anything and everything into every little post / piece of info floating around out there. Time to take a deep breath and count to 10...

Update: Nevermind, he could be lying haha:

@skelzer I'm just messing with the system, it's not a real Incredible :P

Yep. I saw that this morning. If you click on "@charansingh" (as of right now, its the second reply).. he asked if he had the Incredible, and his answer was "no I only modified some files" or something to that extent.

By the time Verizon gets thier head out thier ass we'll be gonnnneeee.

All we can do is wait till the 23rd. And if no Incredible is mentioned theyve lost a customer in me I can tell ya that.
I am really hoping that Verizon isnt dumb enough to have nothing to go against all the great phones coming out on other carriers. I'm sure thier smarter than that

Watching tv tonight I see that VZW has a full frontal advertising assault on for the DROID. I can see how it would not be in their best interest to peak any interest in the n1 or the incredible at this point. In fact, I could see how they would be totally motivated to discourage any interest by sending out disinformation.

I'm not so sure! I am ready to leave. This company is Bull S**t! Bend over and I'll stick that map up your a**, Verizon! I know I have been criticized for saying this before, but right now (March) there is nothing that Verizon offers that I would be remotely interested. SO, what are my options as a customer....wait?!!? Buy a phone I don't want?!!? Get a new carrier?!!? I'm not the type to leave a network so I can get a piece of hardware. So, instead I am stuck waiting it out. I got money to buy a phone, money to change my plan and money to add a smart phone plan....and right now it seems Verizon isn't interested in taking my money. The say ignorance is bliss and something I wish i didn't know the stuff I know. By now I would have a Droid or a Devour and be lulled by conformity into happy thoughts land!!!

I've been able to upgrade since Jan. 13, and my contract expires May 15, so if T-Mobile or Sprint announce something awesome, and will come out relatively soon, I'd think about switching.

1. I like the VZW coverage....who doesn't
2. I'd have to separate off of the family plan I'm on....I just pay my parents my share, but I have the primary line cause they don't care about getting good phones.
3. I'd have to change my phone number, cause I'd be switching states from South Dakota

I live in the Minneapolis metro, so I can get good coverage from Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Also, Sprint has Minneapolis as one of the next cities to get their 4G, so if the Supersonic is announced and is truly awesome, I may hold out for that.

Did we figure out the whole deal with the red back (inside) on the desire?
I don't understand. Some do and some don't.
Possibly had the same idea with the HD2 being yellow on the inside, but then decided it did not flow with their image of how they wanted this phone to be represented. Just a guess.

Yep, I may just jump ship to T-Mob now that they have the HD2, which is really the HTC phone I've wanted all along. It's a beast of a smartphone, is going to run WinMo 7, so you know there won't be any issues syncing it to Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, oh and it will work virtually all throughout Europe too!

VZW is on the verge of committing corporate suicide, just as you said.

There is no confirmation that the HD2 will be able to officially be upgradeable to WinPho 7. I've seen plenty out of MS that would make it seem that it won't be possible, making the HD2 one hell of a lame duck phone. We should find out more during MIX. WinPho 7 does have me quite excited, and it will be right in the sweet spot for everyone after the incredible hopefully gets released this quarter, and by next year at this time, WinPho 7 phones will hopefully be available on VZW and can be purchased at promotional pricing.

Every time I turn on the TV....it's DROID or IPHONE!!! Every time I call Verizon or send an email it's droid, droid, droid, droid, droid. Is that their market strategy for the entire year? The f'ing Droid? We should re-name the company Droizion!

I sure as hell won't be sticking around after CTIA if nothing comes to fruition regarding the Incredible - or N1 for that matter. Those are my top 2 choices and if neither one is officially announced, then I'll pick up an Eris and call it a day, and get something else a year from now when and if Verizon finally extracts their head from their ass. I have NO IDEA how those of you who have been waiting for months have been able to play this game. My 2 year contract with another, smaller carrier came due yesterday and I have zero patience already!

Is it sad I am considering a Microsoft 7 phone when I hate the company and everything they stand for? I need to take a pill and go to bed. This whole fiasco is making me mentally ill!

I like the phone coverage. But the internet coverage sucks. I pay freakin 60 bucks a month for SLOW ASS internet 1 1/2 bars. And can only use 5MB and get charged for any extra. I pretty much use my internet for home use. And I have to wait until 2011 to end it. They are sucking me dry right now. At&t or tmobile is looking pretty damn good right now

I feel like Microsoft took the high road in the OSX vs. Vista ads, when it didn't attack the other OS, but just promoted its own. The Mac vs. PC ads were almost childish. That and Apple's continuing strengthening grip on everything they own is really making me feel differently about the way I think of Microsoft and Apple.

But as far as phone OS's, I think Android is the greatest thing out there right now, especially since I'm a software engineer, and I can play around with Android programming without too much investment.

I'm a little confused what you have. Are you using the Broadband Connect plan for your phone for home internet use?
