Root Update Triumph Radio

Hey guys helping a friend out here and was wondering if there was any way to sbf and update the radio like I do on my droid x. My buddy is on Virgin Mobile and has baseband PR5. Is that good or bad? Is there better? I know when I updated my radio on my X I got much better faster service, was just hoping there was a comparable process here. Thanks in advance for the advice.

First things first, how did your friend get on PR5? Sounds like he flashed a gsm variant rom. From experience, if they used an x6 update .nbo, it probably changed some system stuff that is almost unrepairable. I say almost, cause somewhere in the universe somebody knows how to do it, but finding that person may be impossible. If they just flashed a .zip file they may have a chance by just flashing a complete stock rom from b_randon14, you can get it here:

and has no idea what flashing is so I doubt he changed anything. I may start with the original ROM to start, thanks for the help man. FYI he is on Virgin Mobile.
 
PR5 is what is shown on stock ROM. As far as I know there is no updated radio.
I don't know why CM7 shows something different, or for that matter if it is, in fact different.

Maybe a dev could speak to that.

All this time I thought that I had changed my baseband. So, PR5 is stock baseband for the Triumph?

Well, all you have to do, to get the nb0 to load, is put it on your sd card and go in to recovery. So, he might not have known what he was doing. There is no warning that it is not the proper rom for the phone, it just goes.

re-read the OP.
His buddy hasn't flashed anything.
He has a brand new stock phone and wanted to know if he could up date the radio.

I'm log crazy, now!:D It says unknown baseband in stock rom for me, and only shows pr5 in the other roms. I wasn't totally awake when I replied the first time, and the second was just to clarify. Sorry OP. I'm out.

There are not any radio/baseband updates for the Triumph. So sorry, your buddy is out of luck with that.
