Beta3 coming soon, after the ACTUAL issues are resolved. hroark13's given me some more info to go onl, so hopefully the camera issue can be resolved soon, and me and Fayde are debugging his data (and hopefully translating to the rest of ya'lls) issues, so we'll see.

Damn, I kinda feel like a dick unloading like that, but it needed to be said. Real shit. For those of you just waiting for an actual 100% release, I still <3 ya'll, just realize I'm not a public servant. I don't work for you.

Im one of those ppl waiting for it to be %100. lol. I really appreciate your work though. I usually test it every few alphas, i have yet to try the beta due my phone getting messed up. Will def try the next release though

0 themes/mods
No installed apps (other than gapps)

I'll get a log later, but was just curious if this is just the state of affairs with this device or if it's likely that I've gotten a golden ticket?

no reboots , very stable. other than the BETA bugs (Camera wont take still pictures, MMS(im on metro), Signal idicator( stays at 86 - 0.) Videos wont play on HQ. and thats about it i guess..

oh no it has nothing to do with HIS cm7, it has to do with the vitality, its a pos, as i was JUST talking to him on irc about, it actually runs smoother with his rom

That's about all I'm noticing wrong as well.

So far, very nice! Can't wait until it's 100% complete.
 
Hey, bugs are bugs ya'll. I'm doing my best to support ALL configurations of this phone. And I won't rest until it's 100% because I'm a ****ed up perfectionist. I would really suggest everybody get on IRC to support this phone though (click here if you don't have an IRC client, if you do, connect to irc.irondust.net, and join the #admire channel). The more of you I see, and the more of you I talk to (and possibly others), the more support we will get for this unfortunately unloved but powerful phone.

I'm trying to connect through the link, but the forum adds "androidforums.com" in front and I had to delete it, then it sits at the loading screen for ever

EDIT: Just kidding, I got it :)
 
Here are some screenshots of what I get when attempting to update my PRL. The lady says "alright you have the latest roaming lists, goodbye" and then I get the error of it not working.. hmm....

yeah but did you check your PRL to see if it was updated, had the same thing happen to me and it still updated it
 
Yea.. I mean I already had 3027.prl after flashing this.. without doing the *228 update... doesn't bother at all. I r could careless, just thought I'd share some screenshots;) hehe. No seriously tho IDC, this rom is running fine for me. Everything I need in a phone to be working is doing, so even the HQ videos from YouTube using my 3g data,(not wifi) works. Only thing is mms. Which I can live without for the time being till it gets fixed. Anywho, I know ice said it before but.... Thank you req0 for the hard work put into this. I can actually hold my phone in my hand without being embarrassed of it being a MetroPieceOfCrap phone.... this easily put my Samsung Transform(Sprint) to shame.

Use irc.irondust.net as server and #admire under channel...

Or if you just connect to irc.irondust.net

Then type
/join #admire

BTW, I use AndChat and this will get you setup on your phone to get right to it..

1) Run the app
2) Hit the + (to add a network)
3) Enter Name:Irondust
4) Enter Address:irc.irondust.net
5) Port (don't put anything/no need but I think its 6667)
6) SSL (leave it unchecked/unticked)
7) Nick 1,2,3 (just put jackass (your name!) for all of them) LOL :p
8) Username: Same name
9) Real name: Brad Pitt
10) Autojoin Enter:#admire
11) Autorun leave blank
12) Password leave blank
13) Logs (I have it checked)
14) Now save (press the disk icon up at top)

Now you should see Irondust in your list with others like EFnet, Freenode, IRCnet, etc.
Press that and it should start connecting and you will be logged in..

There is not a whole lot of activity in there... if you want to check out other IRC networks with AndChat pick another network and sign in...

to get a list of channels in the irc network type /list
to join type /join channelname

Ok last time I flashed the Alpha version and I had trouble trying to return to stock (had to use Odin). Is there a way I can just flash the recovery and kernel then make a back up of my Beast Rom using 5.0.2.8 instead of installing 5.0.2.7 again or do I have to?

no it wont let you back up a different rom, when returning to 5.0.2.7 all you have to do is flash the recovery at the bottom of the op and the restore the back up that you made prior to going to 5.0.2.8

what u mean at the bottom of the open. I. can't find 5.0 .2.7
 
Ok I had 5.0.2.8 but when I flashed the 5.0.2.7 recovery it says cant mount cache. Is that normal it's restoring back at the moment I'll edit this post once finished. Other than that, data worked, gps, wifi, video recording. Things that didn't were camera flashed white, video play back from gallery froze. I didn't get a chance to check mms but everything else ran perfect.

p.s. love the boot animation, nice job!
Alright everything restored fine and the error is gone.
 
Mounting Cache error is normal i guess, since you can do anything like nothing. Anyways i can imagine how annoying it would be reading "CANT MOUNT CACHE'' in every page when requisite is online.
 
Qpst doesn't see the phone.. Anyone else having issues with getting qpst to realize the phone is connected?
 
Everything works fine for me. Make sure ADB /usb debugging is on. it is usually on by default, make sure you have the admire drivers installed too
 
@samsungadmire ,does your data and mms work,if so can you back up your working cm7 and post,i what to try but don't wanna loose data or mms on the rom im on. Please kudos.any word on beta 3
 
If data doesnt work go to mobile networks in settings> wireless&networks and make sure data is enabled and change it to EvDO only . Reboot. No data still? Dont touch anything. Make sure you put Airplane mode as you boot up. Make sure you are in the wireless and networks place. BUT not mobile networks. then turn off airplane mode, go to mobile networks. Is "data enabled" checked? no? check it. should work!
