I live in Illinois, so central time, but my phone automatically turns it to eastern time the second i change it back to central, this has been happening for the last few days. I have unchecked the "automatic" tab in the date and time. My clock is constantly an hour ahead, and when i try and change it back, it goes straight back to the previous wrong time.

Have you tried rebooting, then changing it?

Which ROM are you on?

what do you mean rom? and i've taken out the battery and stuff multiple times...doesnt help

How close are you to the eastern time zone? Close enough to be using a tower in that zone?

It appears he doesn't know the terminology which would mean suggestions won't matter. I'm guessing we can assume he's on stock.
