I know, it's fine.

I did find a work around, for those curious, when on the internet and clicking search, click on the 12# button to bring up numbers, and for some reason, that keyboard has a spacebar, the initial one does not.

OK update, without the calendar widget on 2.1 I'm at 17 hours with less than 2 hours "awake" time. This includes about 30 texts, a few mms and some mile surfing and market shopping. I also noticed that while on the phone it does not seem to add to the "awake" time?? I was at 57 minutes at one point, talked to the wife for half an hour. Hung up checked a couple emails and was just slightly over an hour?

So....I guess the calender has issues for some folks. Removing the agenda widget seemed to work for me. No idea why, don't know if its the synching of multiple calendars or what but if you have horrific battery life with 2.1 its worth a shot. Im still waaaay in the green after a decent days use, including the texts (probably more just a conserative estimate) and about an hour af talking.


Ok I was wrong, awake time spiked again no clue why now? has to be something trying to sync? Gettin pretty silly if ya ask me.
 
I've noticed that on the stock messaging app, if I have it set to vibrate AND ring, it will ONLY ring. For whatever reason, I cannot for the life of me get the vibrate setting to work. Kind of annoying given that when my phone is in my pocket I often don't hear the tone and rely on the vibrating crotch sensation to let me know I have a pending message.

Umm? Wasn't there a way to calibrate the compass in settings during good ole 1.5? Can't find it anymore? When using GPS Status popup comes and says need to calibrate compass, If I use COMPASS there's an option to calibrate by doin the figure 8. but when i go back to GPS Status it still says to calibrate.
 
OK so now the calender has been on for the last hour and a half non stop keeping the phone awake? any ideas?????? PLEASE!

I got rid of a couple calenders but I really have no clue....spare parts says its the calendar wtf could cause that? Any help appreciated, I was loving 2.1 until this, now just pissed.

I have a thought about this. I noticed in the "running processes" settings screen, sometimes an app has an icon and title that don't really explain the whole app. For instance, the Google Talk process actually pushes gmail. Perhaps what claims to be your HTC calendar is really doing something else HTC related.

It sounds like it is stuck in sync. Have you tried turning off the sync for your calendar?
 
This thread is *amazing*...

After my factory reset and reinstall, though... almost none of these newly reported problems, and my battery life is comparable if not better than 1.5, which is to say pretty good for the stock 1300mAh battery...

Keeping fingers crossed. :o

That was the idea! :) Why just post about a possible 2.1 issue OR make a vibrator joke if you can do both at the same time!

No but seriously, I need some vibrating in my pants from my phone. When I get massages... er... MESSAGES. All joking aside: Seriously an issue for me. Seriously annoyed.

I unchecked all the calendars. How do I stop it completly?

edit: Cleared calendar data in manage applications and the phone would sleep, re synced and its still sleeping...for now. If this don't work I might wipe it and start over...hopefully since this isnt widespread i just had something whacky in there from one of my sports calendars or something. I deleted those so we shall see

Small question does factory reset delete your sd? And how do I do it is it in the.... Power and send hold options?

Ok so I reflashed my phone with the "other" 2.1 leak. All my problems are gone. Google stays logged in. facebook synced with out a headache. My contact card works. Sms popup finally went away.

If it does start acting up again try going into Settings > Accounts & Sync > Google (for the email your calendar is linked to) and uncheck Sync Calendar. This will shut off the sync all together. Then you can wipe the calendar again and start adding them back one by one to see if you can find the problem child. I currently sync about 14 different calendars to mine and haven't run into any problems. All of mine are just regular google calendars though. I don't have any iCal stuff.

"other" 2.1 leak? What did I miss? I suffer from the Google sign out and "Google voice doesn't dial from google voice" issues.

They are all the same file really. The one that came from xda is patched, but not really any different and the one that Caddy posted was never patched. Still the same file though. I have had both on my phone and they function the exact same way.

There is no NEW leaked version.

maybe the 4th time is a charm deal... this is my 4th time reflashing it. but all is well again. cept craigsphone still doesn't connect.

i put other in "" cuz its really not any different. but i just used the one caddy posted this time thats the only difference
