It says 5GB and I got a message from metro pcs saying I went over my data usage so they are lowering down my 4G LTE speedsPlan info is herehttp://www.metropcs.com/metro/category/Plans/cat250023
Just search on the GPlay for data and you will have a few to choose from.

kind of sucks, yeah they grandfathered in the price, but not the usage. I'm already upto 16% used, and before i was unlimited.
Yes that's true..if you change plans though then right back into the tiered plans with data capswtf i thought if we had the $60 plan before the change we would keep the same price and also the unlimited data usage

Its still going to show what you use every month.

Well I pay my phone bill on the 27th of each month so do the math and I really don't know what I used it on I guess I used a lot of data using the appsHow many days did it take you to hit 5GB? How much are they slowing it down by? Can you do a speed test and screen shot?
When I was with tmobile, they slowed my speeds down to around 35kbps (4.5KB/sec) which is INSANELY slow. You can't even use google maps, facebook, etc. This used to piss me off SOO much. I was pissed, but I realized that there's nothing I can do about it, so I just got used to the 5GB a month.
If you don't mind me asking, what'd you use your 5GB on?
There's no such thing as "grandfathered in" at metro pcs since we have no contract. Being grandfathered in is a term that's used at contract carriers since they had contracts that were signed that didn't cap data.
I know that guy at metroPCS facebook said "no, you're grandfathered in," but he's lying/doesn't know what he's talking about.
ANYWAYS. Most of you guys aren't going to pass 5GB unless you tether a LOT and/or use your phone as your primary internet source, so don't worry about it. If you do use your phone as your primary internet (I've done that before for a few months), then you just have to figure out how to ration it so that you don't hit your cap. Or pay the extra $10. Or get internet at home.
So did mineok till now i thought i was granfathered in... my data meter stayed at zero and all was good. this morning i checked the web and used 4%... meaning that im not unlimited... but the mymetro app (yes i reinstalled this bloat for this exact reason to track my data) says my plan included unlimited data access. WTF!??!?!
