Stevie Jobs already got his lunch handed to him once by Bill Gates and Co. when he sued MS over the Windows O.S. back in the early 90's and after getting his lip bloodied knows better not to **** with the 300 lb. Gorilla.

LMAO!

Exactly. Steve Jobs is a fuc stick. I love that douched-up picture of him holding an ipad (classy name btw) like a bald Charlton Heston holding the ten commandments... what a tool! lol :D F u Steve - Androids gonna kick your a$$! Ha! Open Development is the way!

Sorry I know this was OT but I had to get my licks in too - feels oh so good!

To try and get back on topic, does anyone imagine there will be supply issues once the Incredible is released? Anyone planning on camping out in front of their neighborhood VZW store the night before it's release to insure they get their hands on one?

Just some thoughts...

that was the way he put it. I mentioned snapdragon and he said the only way verizon would have htc was with it. I didn't know they were the same, but he obviously made the same mistake.

Oh not going after you, one just has to question how "in the know" a source is if they don't even know that Snapdragon is Qualcomm's newest processor.

I understand. The thing I was most interested in was the speed of LTE and thaty he said there would be 3 LG android phones this year. We have heard 6 new android phones this year: 3 LG?, incredible, N1, and maybe the moto shadow.

Probably not your best source for anything Incredible and/or Android related. (I hope he has his LTE info down since I read thats what you were more interested it)

Am I missing something? This doesn't seem to say anything except speculation about the incredible.
Nope. Has almost nothing on the Incredible and puts nothing new to the table. Not sure his/her reasoning for posting that article..?

i meant this thread was about "the incredible..."
Right and is it coincidence that since Apple filed it's lawsuit against HTC a week or so ago that there's been very little news, let alone concrete news, of an official Android based HTC manufactured phone being released? Think about it, folks!

We've heard rumors of the Incredible coming to VZW and even a inventory stock no. in their system, yet no solid or public information regarding it's release let alone specs on the darn thing.

The same can be said for the N1. Is it going to be offered through Verizon and/or available on Verizon's system, but sold through Google? If so, when? Oh, but wait.......there's a screen issue with the phone, so that needs to be fixed first before it's VZW ready. Hmmmm................funny how the timing of screen issue ran concurrent with Apple's lawsuit filing against HTC.

Believe me, I'm not one to put a lot of stock in conspiracy theories, but I do find it odd how literally all rumored news of the Incredible and N1 for Verizon has all but dried up. Prior to Apple's suit you had videos of the Incredible appearing, photo images being posted on peoples Twitter and Flickr accounts, which were abruptly removed post the Apple lawsuit filing, with no real news forthcoming since - just a lot of reguritated speculation and rumors, with most of it seeming to have originated here.

Who really knows when and if HTC Android phones such as the Incredible, Desire, Supersonic and Legend will find their way to the U.S. market? Even though the N1 is already out, perhaps Verizon is getting cold feet with HTC and is afraid of being sued by Apple should they make it available directly or indirectly on their network? No one really knows for certain. It's just peculiar and strange how the news information pipeline on virtually all new U.S. bound HTC Android phones has all but dried up since the Apple lawsuit announcement - save for the Desire, which is rumored to be going to T-Mob now after it had originally been assigned to AT&T, but who really knows there as well?

Or, maybe they're just waiting till CTIA to announce the phone. I'm not buying the lawsuit affecting the Incredible release.

hmm maybe, but nahh, we haven't heard anything because it is the calm before the storm... The storm being CTIA. I think *hit is gonna blow wide open at CTIA

haha damn, beat me to it!!! :D

2 days ago HTC replied to me and there were NO delays in any launches and they didn't really seem concerned about the lawsuit.

Now take that for what it is worth and they wouldn't tell me if they were concerned, but the e-mail was re-assuring and they said they would let their customers knows pretty much ASAP with news about the lawsuit.

As of recently (like last 2 days) I would say the opposite of above... We have received fresh news and quality rumors. If anything I would say the device is shaping up to be a big deal.

While watching american idol i seen a commercial about the iphone the man starts out to say ''It's kinda Incredible" in my mind i added.. but not really! lol :D i was leaning towards the N1 but after the rumors now the red is gone more ram better camera and all that good stuff im in a rock and a hard place i will just have to wait til both is out now and decide really enjoying reading all these leaks and rumors guys keep them coming!

That's fine. I don't fault you or anyone for feeling that way. But what will you think or do if there's no official news of the phone coming to VZW when CTIA comes and goes?

Is it merely coincidence that T-Mobile is literally rushing the HTC HD2 to market all of a sudden with Windows Mobile 6.5 on it, when it won't even be upgradable to Win Phone 7, which is really the O.S. most users are going to want? I suspect this may be a knee-jerk reaction on their part to have something "new" to talk about in their phone line in lieu of scrapping the HTC Android phones they had hoped bring to market prior to or shortly after CTIA.

I may be wrong and hope that I am, but there's just a lot of weird unexplainable shit happening since the Apple lawsuit filing.

^^^^ If nothing is announced I will just chill and wait for more information. It's not like CTIA is GUARANTEED to be an annoucment. It is just our logical guessing ;)

They didn't have any other Android phones scheduled to come out soon....However we knew about the HD2 since MWC which of course was before the lawsuit. I really think you're seeing stuff that isn't there.

Quality rumors from who - NKT who claims he'll be "testing" an Incredible soon? Oh, yeah, I've got one coming in the mail to me next week and will be sure to give you the specs on it when it arrives. :D

All kidding aside, testing is one thing and I suspect HTC will continue testing handsets while all this legal rigmarole with Apple is going on, but if they were served a "cease and desist" there's a real possibility you won't see a new HTC handset running Android released in the U.S. anytime soon.

No need to put NKT down or any other forum member for that matter. He seems credible and if not at least it is POSITIVE. Keeping people interested and on the look-out. I'm not gonna argue with you. I just like to stay positive and if things don't come out like I hope/expected I don't let it bother me... Try that sometime ;)

BTW, let us know how that testing goes

I hadn't heard anything "official" regarding the HD2 coming to T-Moblie in the U.S. in March that came out of MWC. Correct me if I'm wrong. They may have announced they were getting it sometime the first half of this year, but I think they've caught a lot of people by surprise with the speed in which they intend to bring it to market, as the Net is blowing up over this right now.

So you're worried that phones that haven't been announced haven't been released yet, but raise flags when announced phones get released? How long have we known about the hd2, what since last fall, but it wasn't announced as coming to the US till MWC.

I'm done with this argument.

Thanks, here's my last rant for the day!!!

What makes a GREAT phone in my opinion...

I'm a graphic designer by night and think I have knack for aesthetics. I'm a fairly anal-retentive person so I like my gadgets in perfect condition, all the time. So now that you understand a bit of where I'm coming from...here's what I think is needed for the "perfect phone."

As of right now, the closest to a "perfect" phone is the iPhone. However, it is getting dated...quickly. The chrome bezel HAS TO GO, it's a bit to thick and the screen has crap resolution. The OS is looking dated as well, it's is in dire needs of a refresh, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

Based on that... here's what the phone needs to capture the attention of the masses:

- Huge, vivid screen. Has to be at least 3.7" and at least the resolution of the N1, anything less -- crap. The seal has to be excellent, because I do not tolerate dust under the screen (IMO the Droid has the best screen on the market at this time).
- Haptic buttons, no physical buttons on the front of the device. Physical buttons break and collect dust in their seams, they're ugly.
- Same or similar button layout of the Droid (power button on top, vol up/down buttons and a camera button. Make the clicks solid and crisp, without any play in them. (the Droid suffers horribly with button play).
- Keep the device not much larger than the viewing area of the screen, I hate seeing blank space, leave enough room for the speakers, the antenna and the microphone, nothing more.
- Speaker - the Droid has an exceptional speaker...loud, clear, crisp. Anything less should not even be considered.
- No physical keyboard. While i like having one, they are never implemented properly. I hate any play in my devices, they have to feel PERECTLY well built, i hate hearing clicking when i tap on a corner of the screen, thing like that. I don't see anyway to avoid these issues, so leave the physical keyboard out all together.
- Smooth. It has to feel good in the hand, i like a glossy back, it just feels "nice." I also would like it to be as scratch resistance as possible, because I do not like cluttering up the device with a case.
- Quality camera... let's face it, the cell phone is something we have nearly everywhere we go, we need it to take pictures worth keeping or videos worth sharing. The quality and responsiveness of the camera needs to be top notch.
- Less is more. Less things to detract attention from the overall look, keep the colors basic, not too many logos or seams, etc. (N1 has the look if there was no trackball and the height of the phone was shortened a bit).
- Customizeable, why not! People like to modify things they own to make them theirs. This is why we offer our Colorlays for the Droid (GrafiXpressions - Express yourself in vinyl form!.... I think the Incredible would do great allowing the customer to choose colors for the battery cover. Personally I love the edgieness of the Red...but others may not. So sell them for $30 a pop and make some money off people who want to customize!

To me...at this point, the Incredible has everything needed to be a great phone, but until we see more and actually touch and feel it, i'm not sure if it will be that "perfect" phone.

Nice! Someone who is on the same level with me on the design and quality quality of cell phone
