It does pretty well in the correct lighting and if your subject is moving, forget it. That being said, it's easily the best camera on any phone I've seen. I think if you knew what you're doing with effects/lighting etc, you could get some pretty good shots with it.

Always love seeing pictures of that handsome lad! :)

If that's the quality of just pick up and shoot, I agree, very impressive. :)

Cheers! :)

Video is pretty good too, again I can give folks an example if needed. It can go out of focus on occasion, but if you turn off autofocus and just manually adjust on the fly/before hand, it's not a big issue.

I know some One X owners have said it can stutter sometimes, but I've not really noticed.

I imagine software wise the EVO 4G LTE will be much the same (if not identical) as the X so if you guys have any questions about Sense 4.0, fire on.
1. If google navigation is currently running and you receive a phone call, does the incoming call screen replace the map? Or does the incoming call screen slide partially up the screen from the bottom, squishing the Nav screen and allowing both to be displayed at once?

2. Can you change the homescreen orientation?

1. In Navigation, it just replaces the screen. However if you activate car mode from the app drawer, then select Google Maps Navigation from within car mode, when a call comes through, it blanks the screen and puts the contact picture of the person calling in the middle; you have the option to slide left to reject, right to answer (I've a pic if you need a better idea of what I mean). When you answer, you see the dial pad and contact pic as you would when on a call, but in landscape. In the top right corner, there's an option to minimze which takes you back to maps and keeps the call active.

2. I was pretty positive you could, but I can't get it to work now. That being said, I think my G-Sensor is wonky. It's a common issue by all accounts, see here: http://androidforums.com/htc-one-x/532582-htc-one-x-no-screen-rotation.html. I can't give an exact answer on that though, sorry.

El Presidente love the pics, crisp and clean! Can you put up a sample video!? What is the max fps on 1080p res? I have the OG Evo amd the choppyness while recording is so noticeable it's sad!

P.s...This is crazy how my level of excitement hasn't went down! With no new info, I readily search the web tirelessly! The true successor of the Evo Clan as emerge! Lol!

It's 30fps at 1080, but in lower light conditions, that drops. Folk say it's in between 20 & 23.

I've a 720p vid below, I'll upload the only 1080p vid I've taken shortly.

Nice! Didn't witness any lag or choppyness in the video!

No kidding! I was impressed at how crisp that looked, right out to the further bubbles and foam at the end.

Blur was there on fast panning, but we expected that. I was surprised at the rapid color adjustment and lock going back and forth from tank to young oceanographer.

I wonder if polarization filter was involved. It didn't have any severe light flaring from the surface of the water. Focus on the moving fish and water surface looked excellent to me.

Thanks, EP!

BTW, does it also shoot 480p?

Agreed!

Yeah, the one below 720 is 640x480. I'll have a mess about with the Elixir2 app later, what info do you want?

I am interested in what audio codec is being used in the videos. It would be nice if they finally stepped up from AMR mono.

Do you get a choice of video codecs? Mp4? Other?

Is the container file still .3gp?

I like 480p. Typically, as you reduce resolution, you get a better chance at a higher frame rate. :)

PS - in Elixir2 under sensors, tap the triangle rather than the sensor name and you can see if that sensor is really responding.

No pressure or temperature sensors, right?

(Meaningless Flash Memory Card that i thought was micro SD)

I don't know if these are pushing it or not but I would like to know if the One X/LTEvo can handle this.

EDIT: Disregard this post i'm an idiot.

Well, if you want to contribute later down the line, just google search:

SanDisk Develops World?s Smallest 128Gb NAND Chip

The 128gb microSD might just be around the corner. I'd say we see it by the summer.

Don't even begin to sweat it, you're among friends. ;)

OK, now I can ask. 128gb micro sd, do you think that these new phones can support it when it eventually releases.

I'll tell you something, the older phones were only spec'd to SDHC, topping out at 32 GB, but we're finding them handle 64 GB, and that's SDXC territory, and Lexar is popping off 128 GB cards at retail as we speak, so who knows??

You keep those ideas coming! :)
