I have a friend with an iphone and his 3g is the same as my 4g. MetroPCS should barely be calling it 4g, but the price is quite reasonable and I'm on wifi 80% of the time, so I won't complain too much.

yeah its spotty here, some places I get upto a 3 and most places never get over a 2

it depends where you are dude i live in n.y. and if i go to different boroughs the speed changes ive seen as high as 6mb down and 5mb up thats not bad for 50-60 bucks a month

as you can see my speeds suck pretty bad. They were way faster the day i bought my phone :(

yeah seems like their network has gotten slower, when i first got the phone i was hitting 4's now its dropped off.
 
I've been getting fast 4g since i first got the phone 2 months ago. I just took the test now to check again. 4 up/4 down is my usual.

This is how I justify Metro PCS

$40 = 3-5mps

$120 plus contract = faster


So is it worth paying 3 times as much for a little bit more speed when my phone is plenty fast as it is? I can download a 20mb in under 10 seconds. That's not that slow. Even though its usually 3Mbps it never actually feels like it.

My thoughts at least. :D
 
it doesnt matter metro pcs is increasing the speed of the 4g during the summer onwards towards the end of the year. They slowed it down for stability reason because they had alot of people buy 4g phones. They dont wanna pull a verizon on us
 
Mine has improved since the prl update. But as a others have said..it all depends where I am at:(

EDIT: the tests were done over mobile service, pic was uploaded with wifi, before anybody makes jokes about poor wifi signal lol

i agree i justify it the same way but some people just like paying more for something that they are not really using:confused:. i have gotten into some pretty heated discussions with my friends over this issue. LOL :D
