[Verizon] Can you recommend a Kernel

Dabitz

I am new to all this stuff, after messing up my phone last night and fixing it up that to you guys help I managed now to be running ROM][4.0.4] AOKP/B34/M4/Mods (4/26).

Can you please recommend a Kernel? I am looking to improve battery life and performance as well. I was going to do Franco's latest milestone, but I wanted to make sure I load something that has worked for you guys and that won't mess up my phone.

Thanks (again)

I bought the Franco Kernal Updater which is easy to use and gives you the option of flashing Franco's kernal (which I use) or Imoseyon's lean kernal.

I've always preferred LeanKernel, but the past few versions have been a bit buggy for me, so I'm sitting on LK 2.8. Franco never seemed to do anything for my phone.

You'll have to experiment and find out what your phone prefers and what you prefer. That said Franco M3 and M2, Faux 15m, and Lean are what I recommend.

I'm running LeanKernel 3.1 and having a really good experience with it. I've tried Faux and Franco and both sucked on my phone. HUGE battery drain with both of them. I've been on LeanKernel 95% of the time and would highly recommend it.

That being said, each Nexus seems to be a little different and responds differently to each kernel and even each build of each kernel.

Funny. I was going to ask the same question, which was best between these kernals. I use leankernal 3.3, presently.

You flash this the same way you would flash a rom right? Thru clock work / install zip, etc?

Would it be beneficial to install franco m3 on my aokp 34 rom? Just looking for it to be smooth with better battery, not interested in overclocking

No one knows until you try it. You'll have to see for yourself. No 2 phones are alike and your experience with any kernel/rom combo will be completely unique from what others might experience with the same combo.

That's the combo I had but I thought battery life was bad compared to factory. Phone was really fast though. I'm testing Imoseyon 3.3.0 now to see how it compares.

I got about 20 hours with the M3 and aokp 34 combo yesterday with moderate use with the extended battery. How is Imoseyon 3.3.0 working so far for you?

It's working a lot better. I haven't done a scientific analysis by any means, but I can tell battery life is a lot better now.
