Root [ROM][BOOST/SPRINT][ZVC]Marky Beats v2 beta[updated 7/30]

With this ROM, is Google Plus not working for anyone else? I keep getting a msg that says "No Connection: Couldn't connect to the server" whenever I'm first setting up G+ at the "Choose account" screen even though I can clearly get on the internet and go to other websites and receive gmail.

I've tried the following:
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling G+
I've tried clearing G+ app cache
I've tried wiping cache partition and Dalvik cache in CWM
I've tried to fix permissions with ROM Manager
I've tried to fix permissions in CWM

I never use G+ though, I did install to check to see if it works. I noticed a lot of FC's and the "Couldn't connect to the server" error. Not sure why this is a hiccup.. Anyway just wanted to confirm it is not just you.

Ok thanks and do you by any chance have a stock GB theme for this rom? I tend to like the black status bar lol. I tried recreating it in UOT Kitchen, but it didn't look right o.O

Doesn't MB v2 come with a stock UI?

It does? I haven't tried it yet I'm downloading now, but I was asking, because in v1.2 it had another type of theme so I assumed it stayed the same.

I love how the SPB Shell launcher suddenly lost it's lag. I'm also very glad to see the Wifi hotspot. I'm also elated that all my videos don't lag or freeze or say "This video cannot be played".

Seriously. This is awesome. I hadn't put a rom on a phone in a while and it was totally worth it to jump back in.

Thanks to anyone who was involved in this. I just love all you Phandroidians/AF'ers. =D

I forgot to take that down. It will do that. Flash the stock theme in bionics thread and it should fix

Did we ever figure out why some phones only have MMS if you use a third party like Go SMS Pro?

I was going through the posts and didn't see a real resolution.
I am actually thinking of re-flashing this weekend.
I did a titanium restore of some of my apps, I also had flashed the OC'ing kernel before I used the fix of changing the MMSC.
I'm thinking it was one of those that prevented me from sending MMS.

I think I did everything out of order and I'm going to play with it tonight since I'm off work tomorrow!

Well what worked for me was a fresh install of MBv2 and Kernel. Then when I used TiBU to restore I told it to skip all Bluetooth Apps and Settings (Anything that says Bluetooth) and MMS Apps and Data (So I think it is pretty much the MMS APN Settings, but Also the MMS.apk). Then I changed the MMSC URL and now MMS works both on Stock and GO.

Do you have to have the paid version to skip the bluetooth/MMS/Data apps?
What are the options to do this? Like what do I select/don't select?
I don't have the paid version yet. I can buy it though. =]

I believe only the paid version offers the batch (multiple) backups and restores (Menu>Batch). So basically you would wanna do a batch restore and then it gives you a list of things to restore you can uncheck certain ones. I sent you a pm on how to go about this.

Ok I have Tethering working.. I downloaded AnyCut (Since GO Launcher does not support creating an activity widget) and used it to make an LG Hidden Menu shortcut (From the first LG Hidden Menu that is listed, since there are 3). I go into it and go to LG Hidden Menu>Settings>Data Settings>DUN NAI and changed it to no. Now it works no issues.

P.s if you could check out my post here:http://androidforums.com/marquee-al...-rooted-zvc-zv4-sprint-boost.html#post4265055 when you get a free minute, that would be great, thanks man!

I did the same thing. The native hotspot built into the ROM works great until I restart my phone. Then I have to go back into the hidden menu DATA Settings>DUN NAI>No. I have to do this EVERYTIME I restart my phone or the hotspot won't work! Any suggestions to get it to stick permanently?

I mean it isn't that bad of a work around for now. Click a widget>Settings>Data>DUN NAI>No and back x4 and you are done. I am not sure how to make it run on boot. I will ask around or maybe someone else that knows how will chime in this thread. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Just wanted say thanks for the rom bud... coming from an optimus v with a bobzhome rom w/oc kernel that was amazing this phone was a huge disappointment. Great work

Perhaps add this link to OP (I assume this is the same thing with one of the files edited so it reads Sprint instead of boost anyways)

I get "The application Swype (process com.swype.android.inputmethod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" just constantly popping up. If I change input method in between pop ups it stops obviously but I'd like to keep using swype. Any ideas?

What i've done
First time around I did CWM backup, factory reset, installed v2 sprint, rebooted into system (started getting errors here), tried factory resetting in CWM and booting again, no luck.

Then I tried
factory reset, clear cache, install v2 sprint, clear cache, flash .2 hyper kernel, clear cache again, reboot into system (still getting error)

Right now i'm redownloading MBv2_sprint in case the download was off, do you have a MD5 sum to check against perchance?

Beyond that, any ideas? - thanks ahead of time
