Root [ROM][BOOST/SPRINT][ZVC]Marky Beats v2 beta[updated 7/30]

I get "The application Swype (process com.swype.android.inputmethod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" just constantly popping up. If I change input method in between pop ups it stops obviously but I'd like to keep using swype. Any ideas?

What i've done
First time around I did CWM backup, factory reset, installed v2 sprint, rebooted into system (started getting errors here), tried factory resetting in CWM and booting again, no luck.

Then I tried
factory reset, clear cache, install v2 sprint, clear cache, flash .2 hyper kernel, clear cache again, reboot into system (still getting error)

Right now i'm redownloading MBv2_sprint in case the download was off, do you have a MD5 sum to check against perchance?

Beyond that, any ideas? - thanks ahead of time
I am not sure if I did this right but this is the MD5 Checksum I got:
E629953A8128D310C92C47B221353558
Also you could try to uninstall Swype and reinstall it. Not sure though. Monster can confirm MD5 and give more insight as well to the Swype issue. As I was saying earlier If he can deodex the ROM or tell me how, than it will be much simpler. Sorry to make ya wait.

Yep same MD5 as I got for the sprint version. I will try uninstall / reinstall. Thanks

I'm on Sprint, and every time I change ROMs I get the same problem with Swype. Basically, you have to go to settings>language&keyboard, and change to stock Android. Then you have to manually uninstall Swype, then reinstall. I've found that the only way I can reinstall is using Appsaver: for some reason, the backup versions of Swype that I have from Rom Toolbox and Titanium Backup just result in the same error.

So since flashing the Sprint v2, I got the swype thing working again by doing uninstall /reinstall. Thanks for that.

I am running into another problem. I don't get any 3g. I have swapped this phone to my wife's number and for whatever reason I can't program her MDN/MSID into it. I get to the entry screen and put in the numbers but the phone doesn't auto restart when I hit done at that edit screen. Then If i reenter the program mode it shows the correct MDN but MSID shows all zeros. I also called sprint because this problem persisted after restoring a CWM backup from prior to the update from 1.2 -> 2.0 sprint
They suggested the reset and hands free activation (##72786#, lock code), which like doing a profile update simply ends in Network connection error.
Any ideas? I have CWM backups from further back but the problem seems to be independent of version because when I went back to 1.2 the problem followed me there. It seems like it just won't save the MSID.

Thanks again in advance

EDIT : So I just did another restore to my MB 1.2 backup from last night. this time right after the restore while still in CWM did a factory reset/ cache clear. On startup I did emergency dial and did my lock code and auto activation kicked off after entering lock code and phone auto restart....data was working after restart. Now, I'll try applying patch(es) again.

Well, unfortunately it didn't work again. Going to go back to my CWM 1.2 backup and factory wipe option for getting data to work for now. Same problem once I flashed the Sprint v2 though was I was unable to enter the number for MSID and have it commit into the phone. When I would go back it would be all zeros again and data wouldn't work.

Not sure what happened there. I can tell you that when i first installed mb2 on my Sprint Marquee, 3g didnt seem to work. But i rebooted and then it did.

Also, i did go back to a previous backup because i wanyed to wait for the deodexed version -- which i think is coming soon. And i had no problems going back or with any functionality once restored.

Well I haven't heard back from Monster on how to deodex yet.. so I looked around and found a post in xda using xUltimate so I downloaded that and have deodexed the framework files and tried system/app but some apps had errors. So I am doing it without those files to see what happens. hopefully should have a deodexed MBv2SPRINT soon..

*EDIT*
Well I was able to deodex almost everything in system/app. All except: HiddenMenu.odex, Maps.odex, Phonesky.odex, PlusOne.odex, PolarisOffice.odex, andVoiceSearch.odex. (I noticed these were not deodexed in MBv2 for Boost either. Guessing they cannot be deodexed, but I am no expert. I also was able to deodex system/framework. I added a different swype keyboard and put it into the system/app instead of /data. This is still a beta, but need some takers to test. Make sure you have a current backup made in CWM. As usual we are not responsible for any damage to your device from flashing the ROM.

Temporarily pulled.. be back up soon. It has been updated.

You rock BC! I'll flash it and see how it goes.

I'm not sure about this ROM, but the stock sprint rom has a crappy Swype version embedded into it. In order to wipe it out you have to install the new version of swype, uninstall it, delete a certain swype file (do a google search with the error you're getting, its on XDA), then reinstall.

It was due to the fact I had Swype Installing twice. I since removed it. Though MBv2_SPRINT-(Deodexed v1) is not working correctly at this point. Should be fixed soon thouhh. Will update when it is complete.

Hey Monster, what's the possibility of mb v2 boost getting quickpanel pull down and the power off options like blood's ctmod rom?

I tried ctmod rom and had various issues with 3g,Bluetooth, and lag after a while.

MB v2 w/1.2ghz kernal works great on my phone, just was hoping the two options above could be added.
Thanks

Ive always wanted it in there but was never positive on how to do it w/o stupid widgets. It wasnt a priority so i didnt worry too much about it. I most likely would have it the next major release

Monster: Are you still working on a Sprint version? I was helping Bionic before Blood's ROM came out -- but we hit a wall.

Hey monster, I wonder if you can just drop the quickpanelsettings.apk and systemui.apk from ctmod into /system/app and hopefully the panel will show up :)

i doubt it would work because Blood has it themed so much. Stock framework with not-stock systemui. I imagine would have issues.

i can yeah, what problem was he having?

Edit: Sorry didnt mean to double post

Yeah if you tried taking the files from CTMod for MB you wouldn't boot past LG. And the quick panel are just the settings blood was saying. As far as MBv2 Sprint, he couldn't get it to boot. Not sure if I deodexed wrong or what. You can take the zip I have posted on this thread and look at it.. But sure what I did wrong. I pmed about this a few days ago..

Monster thanks for getting it working on Sprint. I'll have to try it out; I'm not into listen music so I've been putting off on trying this rom. I've been using ctmod for the last couple days and for the most part it's been good but I get a few weird behavoirs, like 3g data issues; my data connection seems very slow to connect also and, I know it's not the rom, but my 3g data reception is horrible on ctmod. What I want to really try out is the cm7 test build you gave me and see if i can help. Just been too busy with everything though. Thanks again
