When I asked a store manager about the android BOGO, he said they were only still doing it because Palm won't end theirs. Officially it's just to stay competitive not get rid of inventory, but that could be an excuse/cover.

I'm not sure that Palm has anything to do with their phones being BOGO. There has been poor response (due to VZWs atrocious marketing) to the new Palm products so they have to get rid of them.

Yeah, but I can see android needing to stay competitive on price even though they obviously have killer specs mainly because most people know nothing about the phone they buy.

Sorry man, but its already been confirmed that the first link (the cables) have nothing to do with the Incredible. He was just taking advantage of the name early before the phone came out (I actually contacted him about a month ago when I posted the link, and he said the phone's arent released but he wanted to prep for it). That USB adapter can be used on several HTC models.

The microSD card is, for the most part, universal with most phones. Adding "for HTC Incredible" does nothing for it. I can use that same card for any phone I have.

Definitely get something higher than a class 4. I had a slower SD card in my camera and when I replaced it with class 6, the read/write speed was like night and day. On a phone like the Incredible which may be a power hog you don't want to waste battery life waiting for the SD card.
:)

Newegg.com - RiDATA Lightning Series 8GB Micro SDHC MLC Flash Card w/ 2 Adapters (SD/Mini SD/Mini SDHC) Model RDMICSDHC8G-LIG-2 - Flash Memory

looks fairly inexpensive and got pretty good reviews.

Edit: Right now the price to go from a 8GB to a 16GB is still pretty substantial, so if it comes with 8GB onboard, I think I can live with just another 8GB for the time being.

Bummer, I was hoping.... :)

What is the max that it will take? is it 32 gig? how many micro SD slots are there?

I think 32, but I can't even find any 32 gb plus they are probably BIG TIME $$$ if out there.

I'll probably get a class 6 16gb. That should be plenty for me.

IIRC from what NKT said, 1 microSD slot near the side of the battery (similiar to the Droid Eris).

Not sure whats the max it can take, but I don't see why there'd be a limit. If the card exist, shouldn't the phone be able to read it? I mean, afterall, its just storage devices. I may be wrong though, but thats my take on it.

Hey guys, just a quick heads up...as you know, sometime real life can get in the way of the fun stuff (Incredible) and that's exactly what's happened to me over the last 48 hours. I should be good to go again by Monday but in case there's any late breaking news/updates/spec's that are worthy of going on the first post please PM me and i'll do my best to update ASAP...as far as i know it's all up to date.

On a side note, when i have some time i'd like to write up a proposal for the "Incredible community" on how to possibly run this sub-thread (HTC Incredible) over the course of it's lifecycle that should provide a much better experience for the end user(s).

I work for a Fortune 1 (yes, not 100, 500, or 1000, but 1) company (no names, but you can probably guess) and I manage a team of developers and am in charge of product introduction and rollout (which means managing expectations, documentation, support, etc...) so i'd like to propose implementing some of those same concepts which work very well to this forum and provide a well organized, planned, and managed "one stop shop" for Incredible owners. I would like buy-in from the community at large and also the Admin's/Mod's as the concept would mean a bit more structure (no restrictions, just to be clear, in case this raises flags for anyone). I think it would be an interesting experiment and in my opinion, and experience, provide a superior experience for the end user. More on this later...but any preliminary feedback is very welcome and appreciated.

Well if you work for the fortune 1 company that doesn't include oil, then how about adding a forum to the wire. The forum method could be the size of a market, region, or state wide. I might be thinking of the wrong company.

Just wondering, what are the chances that the included memory card will be class 6? Do any of the current phones (nexus, droid, eris) come with a class 6 card?

we're not even sure the phone comes with a card yet.

would be nice though.
I'm sure it will. Droid and Eris have it come with one, so that's always a plus.

Looks like we have all the info we need on this phone! But we will always be hungry for more.

Btw, is anyone's subscription to this thread working?

I think I am still subscribed, but all the e-mails go to my spam now. Never used to. I clicked the, "NOT SPAM" button, but doesn't seem to do anything lol

I had it stop sending e-mails for new messages a long time ago. My e-mails go top my BB and the poor thing was having seizures.

My email from this forum has always been spotty, but I haven't received any email from any of the threads I subscribe to for a few days. Nothing in my spam forlder.

well if the class 6 16gb cards are at least 50$, then the 32gb cards are gonna be around $100 i'm guessing....i don't think it's worth it then
