We need to put an end to this silly fighting. I understand that many people don't agree with the way this thread is conducted. Well, I have one thing to say: No one is forcing you to read and participate in this thread. If you would like one on something less broad, then by all means, start your own thread on something specific. And, if you don't enjoy reading pages and pages of thread, then head on over to Android Central for the latest news with no discussion.

I for one don't want to hear about someone's personal issues. I could not care less what kind of plan/phone situation you are in.

Posts like this is what clogs up this forum.

No, quoting his entire post, then adding your jag-bag post clog it up. don't be an asshole, just simply don't respond. in the first two lines of that post you could of established it had no interest to you and skimmed over.

Apparently not everyone because I went shopping about 14 months in to mine and they were quoting full price for phones. Said I have to wait 4 more months to get discounted pricing. That was online. Never talked to store rep.

You have to be either a single subscriber, or the main line on a family plan to resign every year under a 2 year contract, and get the 2 year contract pricing.

Then just scroll on down through his post and ignore it as much as you can, not sure why you think his post clog the forums but yours complaining about other peoples post aren't doing the exact same thing.

It's okay! Really! I am an adult and I am not offended by the post telling me my personal situation is irrelevant. Actually, TK is right. I can get very wordy - too much info - I'll scale it back next time. Seriously, point taken. There is no need for a bunch of posts about that post. :) The techy stuff is way more fun.

Yes, I can probably wait until the 23rd . . . if I got the Eris for 30 days, I would still read the entire manual and customize everything and then just have to do it all over again with the Incredible.

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm going back to watching Stargate Atlantis. Please feel totally free to start an off-topic discussion on that subject though!

Best regards!

If you are the main line you get an upgrade credit every year. Other lines get one every 20 months.

I am the main line, but I don't get a new phone every year. The last phone I got was about two years ago, now. The htc touch. It was amazing then. Now, it's archaic.

Can anyone point me to the page number where the 1gb of RAM rumor came from? ( New Verizon HTC Incredible pics and specs – Android and Me )

I seem to have missed it :(

Try around 119 to 125. 125 from NKT
Quote NKT:
Ok, did some more looking around at the docs that I have and I think I can confirm Stericsons 8gb onboard flash storage (ie Pre+):

Quote:
Device Vendor Memory Lockdown [Pooled Memory Required] ROM:512MB Flash+8GB moviNAND
RAM: 512MB

Memory (RAM, FLASH) ROM:512MB Flash + 8GB moviNAND RAM:512MB
So slap a 32gb micoSD in that bad boy and you got some serious storage! And I wonder if the means that Google is going to use the 8gb onboard for app storage. That would be sweet :)

And as far as weight goes, it is lighter than the N1

I'm asking here because I've read the entire thread and you are the most welcoming, helpful, friendly group I've come across in a long time.
You said it!:D
Welcome and I totally agree, the folks on this forum are tops. Some of the other forums are very snipey and downright rude. Let's all give ourselves a pat on the back.:)

Same boat. Main line/single subscriber. Verizon been throwing it up my pooper this whole time without me knowing?

I believe its 18 months for the other lines.

Its kinda funny how fast phones age. When I bought my LG Dare the store rep said that I would't need my next phone upgrade because "thats how advanced the Dare is". I kinda wonder what the "next" incredible phone will be? Better specs? Bigger Screen?

Am I the only one that gets phone upgrades every year?

No. I was wondering the same thing about myself with all the talk about NE2. For me to wait for the NE2 is pointless, because it can't be used in conjunction with the annual upgrade that is a $100 discount to begin with.

Its 20 months for other non-main family plan lines. I am one of those on my family plan, so I would know.

You can upgrade your main line on family plans every year, however you lose your NE2 (so, depending on what you think is worth more to you, that is a choice you must make)

I believe you can also upgrade every year on an indivudual line (with upgrade pricing) but you will be charged a fee.

I got bored with no news going on so I did a quick sketch up of size comparison between Nexus One, 3GS, and Incredible. :)

Maybe it's just me, but the image isn't showing up. What could be the reason for that? I'm not behind a firewall or anything.

Oh, mind adding a Droid to that comparison? :)

I haven't posted before, but been following this forum for the last few weeks (so since page 75 or so :p). I bought a Droid a week back, but I fully plan to return it within the 30 days and pick up the Incredible, going back to using my old phone for a couple weeks if necessary (anyone on here still rocking a LG VX8300)?

That was my old phone. Gave it to my Dad now. What do you plan on doing once you get the Incredible? Cause my Dad needs a replacement :P

Just thought i'd stop by to say all this talk about useless posts clogging the thread are in fact doing that, clogging the thread. Lets quit the thread clogging and post whoring and keep this on the Incredible.

On a side note, why the F is verizon being so tight-lipped about this if they clearly aren't marketing the Incredible. They HAVE to rely on word of mouth at this point if it is getting released within the next 2 weeks+. I guarantee you the traffic that goes by the verizon site will not be sufficient to get this phone selling like hotcakes.

I'm a single subscriber, but my information online definitely does not show that I am eligible for a phone upgrade every year . How do I find out if I really am eligible for that?

I'm keeping it as a backup phone! Never letting this baby go. Still keeps a charge for a few days, doesn't really give me any serious issues.

I tell ya, they don't build them like they used to

How incredible will the Incredible be in 2years+ when there are more incredible phones out than the Incredible and the Incredible suddenly isn't so incredible any more? Almost like how much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
