No sound or nothing? Well I'm still a non, but if it boots to the LG screen then it may not be completely bricked. Not sure though. :|

no i didnt check ip it was dead at the time but i can get my money back but i just really like this phone so imma try to fix it hopefully i can..![]()
check if u could update ur phone with LG update tool
How are you attempting to push the hardware buttons to get into recovery? Please explain every step in detail so i know what you are doing
i think you gotta brick the only hope if there is no cwm on it and you cant update there is something out there that i used for an optimus m a while ago that lets you flash stock firmware
DON'T HOLD ALL 3 BUTTONS DOWN WHEN YOU POWER THE PHONE UP
turn the phone off- hold the power button when it vibrates and the LG logo comes up - hold down both volume buttons till it vibrates then a screen will come up saying permanently erase user data and reset settings? press the power button then when it asked are you sure you want to continue with erase? press the power again, the LG logo will come up for a few seconds then take you into recovery
if that doesn't work you can try going into the LG update tool click on customer support than click on recovery phone find your meid or s/n on the back of the phone under the battery and put it in the box, then click check and fallow along from there
also try the zvd root, that might help get you into recovery if ClockWorkMod isn't there.
good to know this just in case hopefully it'll work for him
just for you know, a phone is only "bricked" if it wont power up, as long as it can power up it can usually be recovered., only other way it cant be recovered is if all fireware and software have been killed off. Than you have to start from scratch with the base firmware.
if its getting to the LG logo that means its jamming up at the start of the phones ROM so my guess is the guy either tried to update and didn't do something right or he tried to flash a ROM and it was corrupt. good luck dude hope you get it working

IM A GIRL!..lol
Is there any way to fix a corrupt phone?
