Anyone used their camera much on 2.1 ? I'm having a hell of a time getting non-blurry pics (focus-related ?).

I have been using mine regularly and it still takes good photos. Make sure if you are in a low-light situation you have a steady hand. Otherwise it is easy to blur photos.

I believe I've figured out the problem with Facebook for HTC Sense. And why some peoples' works, and some doesn't.
so I have to discredit HTC for not having 2.1's integrated Facebook for HTC Sense app REQUEST AUTHORIZATION from Facebook to work properly. If you didn't already have HTC Sense as 'Authorized' in your Applications (Account > Application something when you're on Facebook full), your contacts won't sync, you won't be able to Link any contacts, and you won't be able to update your status.
HTC Sense for 1.5 requested authorization. So those who already had authorization for 1.5 and didn't have it disappear (like my gf) had Facebook Syncing work. Those who didn't have it disappear find that Facebook for HTC Sense works great.
What's the fix? Well, I'm on 1.5, and my gf's on 2.1 (she's having the problem). I'm going to try, today, to log into the integrated Facebook syncing with my 1.5 phone with my GIRLFRIEND'S login, just to authorize HTC Sense on her Facebook account, then log in back on mine on my phone, and HER login on her 2.1 phone, to see if it syncs.
I'm betting on success here.
Does anyone here who ISN'T getting facebook syncing to work, seeing 'HTC Sense' under their Authorized apps on Facebook.com?
I will post my findings, as a "Fix" if this works.

The native camera app in 2.1 is better than the old one with more features, but it's still slow and I found some FC issues when trying to focus off center (you can do that by touching the screen anywhere on the point that you want to focus). Ive downloaded the free FXcamera app and it seems to add some sharpening in post-production for all photos for a crisper, but sometimes too-sharpened look. Try it and let me know what you think. It's quicker once you take the photo and has a dedicated focus button. But you have to pick the style of camera first, which I wish it would default to normal.

Thank God! I do a lot of texting and really liked handscent but was unhappy after 2.1, switched to ChompSMS and not liking it either. Gonna go for the new handscent!

I think a number of the problems are with HTC's newest Sense release rather than with Android 2.1 itself. Last night I switched to Home for managing things rather than Sense, and I've noticed a number of problems have ended. My phone hasn't been acting up and randomly going out, updates are happening properly, etc.
I know that going down to 3 screens and losing out on the fun HTC widgets isn't the goal, but until the final release is sent out, this may be the best option for some.

One little quirk I've found on 2.1. Whenever I send a text message and attempt to type the word "I'm", it won't put the word into the message and the HTC Touch Input will force close.
I'm going to soft reset and see if that does anything. I'm currently using the compact qwerty with T9.

Well, I still cannot type "I'm" with the compact qwerty. I get a force close. Switched to the basic qwerty, and there's no problems. Odd.
I have about 500 "friends" and was having problems after I added my Facebook account in 2.1. I had 100% awake time, and contact photos were appearing and disappearing. It looked like it was constantly trying to sync Facebook, then Google contacts, then Facebook, etc. in a loop. So I disabled auto sync for Google contacts, allowed Facebook to finish syncing uninterrupted (took about ten minutes), and then re-enabled Google contacts sync. Now it works fine, all profile photos are there, and no more 100% awake time.
My update required me to hit the "volume up" key to continue instead of the trackball (I've read this is common for some people).
You might try reading the instructions on screen as I was trying the trackball method, and saw instructions on screen to push "volume up" to update and "volume down" to reboot my phone.

This is the main problem I've avoided since making Home the default rather than Sense UI. Hopefully, the final release fixes this.

I actually made a post about this earlier. It happened to me yesterday. First rime ever. I use DxTop home and 2.1. I was told that if it happens rarely it fine, but often then oh no.

for the time being till we get an official update, or root, i have switched to running HOME instead of SENSE, although the dialer app is a sense app, it seems that the lag is all but gone now that I am running stock home.
not sure why, not sure how, but it works. this was the only bug i really experienced and it really did suck, and this has been a useable workaround for me.

Hey all, this is my first post but read thru the entire forum to catch up to speed... Got the 2.1 update from a phone saavy friend and love it. U guys pretty much covered it all except for the biggest problem Im having along with a couple others and it didnt seem to get noticed. I have a pioneer touch screen unit in my car and it would pick up bluetooth no problem with 1.5. Now in 2.1 i can connect thru BT media and use pandora and navigation which is awesome but the BT phone sensor will not pick up. Any body else having this problems or know of a fix for it??? Is it possible to re-route the phones audio thru the media portion of bluetooth?? Ive tried restarting the phone and the *228 1 and 2 option knowing it wouldnt fix it! any suggestions would be great as I am in my car alot and do business on the phone!! thanks for the help and hopefully someone will fix this or at least no the source of the problem!
