Root [OLD] (Boost) Update 2.3.6 with root

ok quick question but i think i know the answer already but i shall ask anyways.Ok i am currently running shevron rom with bobz kernel, & chev hasnt released a new version for this 2.3.6 update,so if i flash this will it fug with anything or should i flash a stock rom 1st, and then ur link?

OK, I've followed the directions and downloaded and restored the latest version. It says Gingerbread build FC29 but Baseband version EG29. Is this correct?

try going into settings>about phone>system updates and Update Firmware. Pretty sure that should update ur baseband. the baseband doesnt get backed up in a nandroid backup so hed have to include it in for it to get updated on your phone...

EDIT: You should make a nandroid backup first just in case...

try going into settings>about phone>system updates and Update Firmware. Pretty sure that should update ur baseband. the baseband doesnt get backed up in a nandroid backup so hed have to include it in for it to get updated on your phone...

EDIT: You should make a nandroid backup first just in case...

I did a factory data reset and then rebooted, went to Update Firmware. It ran a check and then alerted that "No firmware update is available." Everything (including WiFi) is working, though. So...?

Added in edit: Baseband remains EG29.
 
Nevermind rebooting and going back into recovery then it restored fine.

EDIT: seem to be having the same problem as others however baseband remains EG29, and selecting update firmware just says its up to date

EDIT: It appears wifi isn't working for me either, will investigate further and post a fix if i find one
 
Im thinking installing bobzhome's kernel and wifi injector may fix the wifi will try it and report back

EDIT: having too many issues gonna revert back with my backup, still I want to say thank you for all your hard work katracho, will try again once all the bugs get worked out.
 
The Baseband Won't Change And The 3g don't work.....Wifi Work but there's a force close when u go to status.....went back to chev rom backup....
