As long as it is a rom that is made for the EVO you are fine to flash it.

Check out either our rom and kernel download page or xda developers. You want roms based on 4.67 for the newest ota

Check out SOS or nitrous. I'd throw you some links but I'm doing this from my phone

Edit: here's one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1486126

[ROM] [2.3.5] [SENSE] [4.67]

Thanks again for the info. I checked them out and I happen to find and am interested in the following ROM (xda):

[ROM] 5.09.12 ODJDub HD Express X Sense 3.0 Fully Working 4G & Landscape!!

It specifies that " must have SD partitioned ". How do I partition the sd card? Any help on how much is the sd partitioned ?

I've taken these steps out of the Rooting For Dummies The Gingerbread Edition written by Ocnbrze:

Make sure you copy the contents of your SD card to your PC prior to starting this process!!!! This will wipe your card when it partitions. The partition you'll probably need is about 1 or 2 gigs. It ultimately depends on the size of your card, and what you think you'll need.

it is recommended that you do this before trying to flash a rom.
so here are the directions on how to do it:
1.copy your content of the card to a computer because partitioning will wipe the card's content.
2.go into recovery and select partition your sd card
3.enter 32 for swap, and 1024 or 2048 for ext2, and do the rest for FAT
4.select upgrade ext2 to ext3
6.select usb-ms toggle and transfer your contents of your card on your computer back to the card.
5.go to the main menu and do a full wipe (min data, dalvik cache and cache)
6.flash the superwipe
7.flash the rom of your choice.
8.reboot

from now on it is recommended you wipe dalvik cache, cache, data and sd ext.before flashing roms. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT SELECT WIPE SD CARD as it will do just that. your card will be erased. also make sure that when making a nandroid backup to select sd ext to be backed up as well.

it is recommended that you have a higher class card if you want to partition your card. because your apps will be on your card your read and write speeds will dictate how well the app will perform. this will mostly affect games and other intensive apps. but for some they say that a lower class card like a class 4 card worked fine.

so go here to the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html and go to that partitioning section for info and instructions.

Personally, I think the Sense 3.0 Roms are like tanks on the Evo. They're HUGE and bloated. They take forever to boot etc.

If you're sticking with Sense, I would go with

1) MikG - the gold standard. It's built on Sense 2.1 with some Sense 3.0 sprinkles. It is FAST and stock looking. But there are a bunch of mods on themikmik.com that you can flash if you are so inclined. I'm partial to the Blue Glass Inversion theme by Timberwolf.

2) Evo Classic by tommytomatoe - Built on Sense 1.0 and blazing fast, TONS of customization options built straight into the ROM. He is just about to drop version 0.1.0 but the 0.0.9 preview works great. Very cool rom to try out.

3) DigitalKarma v6 - This one is Sense 1.0 based also but a bit more themed than the others. It's kind of an up and coming rom. Not as many built in tweaks but this thing performs well. Blazing fast.

I've also heard good things about Nitrous, and it's very comparable to DigitalKarma, but I like the theming on Digitalkarma better. SwaggedOutStock also gets honorable mention here.

I'm with Brent on suggesting against sense 3.0. Get yourself in something fast and stable before trying things that are more "experimental"
