ICS for us! Confirmed

Ok here's my question. I flashed my Dinc2 to Straight Talk. So when Verizon finally decides to let us enjoy ICS, will there be a link to the update file posted somewhere?

If you're rooted I'm sure someone will make it available for us.

No don't want to try rooting just yet. I've seen links to other Android updates posted in various places linking to Android.clients.Google.com, and I know its simple to update once you find the file. I'm hoping it will be that easy

Don't want to start any rumors or anything, but I just ran the new software check on my phone and got this message:

ERROR

SERVICE UNAVAILABLE
Check for Software Update under Settings
when service is available

Could something be coming down the pipe, or am I just getting my hopes up and there's really a problem?

I'm getting the same error message. It's possible they have the servers offline while they prepare an update. No point in loosing sleep though

I think I remember saying mid-May. Not sure.
Now I'm glad we didn't put anything on it...


EDIT: I said May 19th. I'll revise to the first sighting occuring May 25th somewhere in the southern states.

I'm thinking both, its to be determined and whatever it is, it will be by the end of August.

reminds me when the 2.1 update was to be rolled out to my ERIS, lots of waiting, finally showed up and a week later I rooted. "sigh"

This is pretty clear; not sure how it can be misunderstood:

The majority of devices will receive upgrades in June and July 2012 and we expect to finish upgrades in August 2012 for all announced devices.

Thanks; I hadn't seen that sentence, only the schedule. In the schedule, under the column headed "Schedule", for the Inc2 it says "To be be determined (by the end of August)".
