Haha yeah his site is getting worked hard...I'm surprised we haven't knocked it offline to be honest. He tweeted this yesterday:

WOW.. so i normally get about 700 folks a day vising my little blog... today, the number is at 30,000! #OMG I'm speechless. #sprint #stunned

You can’t blame Apple, either. Patel said the legal battle, which Apple won, was over a legacy Apple patent that was used back as far as Mac OS 9. “They invented it then and they should protect it now,” he explained.
Just one of the many inaccuracies given by the Verge's attorney when he expressed his opinions.

Yes - blame Apple!

“HTC is a little new to the game and this enforcement action at customs is happening without Apple and without HTC – they don’t seem to be directly involved,” Patel said. It typically takes about a month for specific instructions to be written up and passed to the dockworkers at customs. That’s why it might have been possible for the initial allotment of HTC One X phones to get through.
Seriously - who is this clown?

HTC is not new to import/export laws for the USA.

HTC attorneys knew full well to expect to a compliance action. They didn't leave court last year and just go, "Oh, well, that's how it goes! HA HA HA! How about a nice snack? Who's hungry?"

The entire company has had itself under a microscope since this caused their stocks to drop like a rock last year.

"...they don’t seem to be directly involved..." operative word - SEEM - not that he knows, just another blog comment.

-1 for nonsense, Verge, -1 for nonsense.

Hey lawyer - the One X phones for ATT got through because they went through before the April 19th deadline for the grace period.

Geez...I get crazed on the day job and not able to check in too much and I have to go 20 pages back just to find out what happened and why there aren't more posts about the phone...LOL.

Apple is only suing all these companies because they're scared of their products becoming less significant. I don't personally feel like that will ever happen, but they're scared enough that they are trying whatever methods they can to stall other manufacturers. Also a big reason I'll never buy anything apple for myself.

So, Android pays Microsoft for Linux feature licensing (Microsoft makes more money off of Android than they do their own phones that are obviously, not Linux).

Soon, Android may be paying Apple in a similar fashion for their patent trolling.

I'd have to ban myself if I commented further - 'nuff said. ;) :D

Wow first you are the father and now your banned and still no Evo info...noooooooooooooooo

I got a chubby ... And then I didnt.

I'm risking this site getting shut down by Apple's lawyers when they have a patent claim on it.

I wouldn't put it past them... I've been trying to keep a positive outlook like I had last night but it seems like the lack of news has me down today.

Do you think it's safe to assume that Sprint will not reinstate pre-orders again but rather wait until they have stock in the stores to begin sales again?

I was hoping they would reinstate pre-orders once they knew the customs debacle was settled.

Best Buy was more than happy to try and pitch me into putting down a 50 dollar deposit late last night. I already pre-ordered via my corp. store since I'll be getting the Evo for free after buybacks and what not, but at least you have that option if you need a pre-order in a hurry.

I would assume pre-orders are done. They're already sitting on the current pre-orders that are ready to ship.

Not in a hurry just looking forward to getting it sooner rather than later, like everyone else, now that I can afford the cost.
