Root Can't get back to stock rom.

I've spent about 4 hours trying to get my phone back to the stock rom. I've used CWM to restore, used a fresh image folder, and formatted everything on the phone and started from scratch.

No matter what I do, every time I turn the phone on, I am stuck on the motorola logo. My phone is the newer revision if that makes any difference.

Can you get to download mode?Look here
Make sure you have a recovery.img. I would do this at my computer and make sure I had a CWM recovery.

If you formated the wrong way, you have moved past my ability to help. I have seen someone do some great things, but I'll let that person chime in if it comes to it.

Yes I have tried not using and using CWM, nothing helps. I can use "Re-stock".

I can go into download mode, and I do have a recovery image. I don't think I have formatted anything in the "wrong" way.

OK, I'm about to go to bed, so hopefully someone can continue. When you apply the ROM, are you factory resetting first? If so, are giving it enough time? Are you charged up. Recovery will kill your battery more than a running OS. It doesn't have the same butt covers that auto shut down the phone when the battery gets too low. Can you charge while the phone is off?

I might think of something when I'm in the shower. Or maybe someone will say something smarter;)

I've been factory resetting in between the roms trying to get stock back, but not directly beforehand. I watch the phone while it is recovering so I don't think it is losing power. It can be charged while off.

I would start by charging the phone, then maybe replace the recovery.img in case it is corrupted. Do you have a ROM that you know is good. Might be a bad download or the ROM itself is bad.... no you tried a few...:questionmark:

I'm pretty sure it's fully charged, but I've got it plugged in anyways. ROM as in Nandroid Backup? If you mean custom ROM, then Re-Stock and CM9 have been working well. I've tried a bunch of Backups. Sorry if I'm sounding like a whiny newb btw, but's it's just I need the stock ROM to activate my phone.
