The funny thing is I am actually getting MARRIED on the 27th....cough...cough....

What are the odds?! If that actually turns out to be the release date and it's available in stores on the 27th.....all bets are off.

Of all the reason's to have to leave the poor lady at the alter...I'm sure she will understand....

right?

Or... you could get married at a VZW store! :D

I love it...7000 posts about a phone that doesn't exist...with zero information being released and NOW he decides to close it....

I just want to say that i officially proclaimed in the closed thread that i vowed to stay on topic...:D

So is there any word on if the incredible is being released next week? I hear it might be on the 23rd??? Is that still a possibility?

Okay...I know what kind of response this is going to get...but I feel I should report my experience from earlier today. I went into a Verizon store here where I live and decided to ask about the Incredible. I did this with the intention of watching the look on the reps faces when I mentioned to phone for evidence of recognition. When I said Incredible I saw a slight eye dart to the left. The first rep said to me...what is it that you're looking for and I told him my story...wanting the iPhone on Verizon originally...then seeing the Droid but not liking the feel or form factor...and now waiting for the N1 and/or Incredible. He said...well...we already have a phone that beats the iPhone and showed me his phone. It was the Moto Devour. I said...I thought that was releasing on the 25th and he said... "well we can sell it to you now" He let me hold it...it has a much better form factor than the Droid...imho. Anyway, then the guy behind the counter said...yeah...I went to a workshop a few days ago and they told us December. So I told him the rumors on the internet are that it's much sooner than that. And I told him that I had waited this long....and that my deadline is mid May. At the tail end of our conversation an LG Rep entered the store. He said he had a friend who is an HTC Rep and that the Incredible was about 6 to 8 months from release. I got no resistance when I mentioned the N1 would be released in March. They all said nothing but offered up no objection to this statement. So then...just before I left the store..the guy that told me December looked me in the eye and said....yeah...there's definitely some cool phones coming out over the next few months. I felt almost like he had more to say...and yet it just doesn't jive with his adamant statement that he attended a "workshop" recently and that it was going to be December. And the fact that the LG Rep had the same time-line was interesting. I left the store thinking...dang...you never really know. It sounds like we have very real indications that the Incredible is scheduled much sooner...but you really don't know until it is actually made public. I left that store thinking....man...I might end up with the N1...because truly...I can't keep my Katana past May...life is too short.

So...when I come back here to hard rumors of a next Tuesday ship and 27th release....it's a crazy contrast! Okay...that's all...it's worth what you paid for it. Don't hate! :)

The rumor we are currently getting high off of is the 27th. And jeez there are only 9 pages to read to catch up on and you couldn't even do that? ;)

Why bother with the N1 anymore, it doesn't have the internal memory like the incredible and it most certainly won't be subsidized! Boo the n1 boo I say!
I actually think the N1 will be subsidized by Verizon considering they are one of the Carriers that are listed on Google's site along with Vodafone, AT&T isn't one of those carriers and that's why the phone isn't subsidized.

that's an interesting take..

If it happens then awesome, but I wouldn't get my hopes up about it, it defeats google's "revoultion" by haveing them subsidize the phone, to me it just doesn't make sense

Well the phone is already subsidized by T-mobile so if the Carrier agrees to subsidize the phone they'll offer it that way otherwise it's full retail.

I can tell you one thing.....if the Incredible isn't out before the Supersonic, I will no longer be a verizon customer, and if neither is out this summer, I may go to T-Mobile.....I know they have no problems releasing phones in a timely matter.

No offence inteneded to the OP of the 27th date, but is this still the only poster so far that confirms this?

And not to pry, but is it fair to ask apang at what level in Verizon this person is (management, sales rep, retail, corporate)? Just curious, I saw someone ask this before, but don't think I saw an answer.

Thanks in advance!
