are you referring to wifi/ cdma location/gps services or standalone gps? If its Standalone gps (sat dish icon in the power control menu) with nothing else on, how did you get it working? did you copy the gpsd file to the bin directory from another rom because its not there in this rom. I believe they are reprogramming it, hopefully without the bugs that i have with other roms i.e. it only works again 50 minutes after turning it off for a few minutes or more.

GPS is super spotty still, even compass doesnt lock or find a location, where as on stock rom with the same miui compass it works great.
when i first run latitude on miui, it shows me being in the midwest somewhere, as well as the servers on speedtest. if i use wifi, then it will take me o the right location

I have tried the link you posted but it did not work the gps still does not work. No icon flashes and no sats are visible in gps test.

Your compass is unrelated to gps it may autochange though when gps is on - there are autocompasses. When gps is off its based on a software calculation from two sensors. Mine works fine, if you have problems with this spinning, reinstall your rom. The location can be got from 3 sources, wifi (IP), cdma (3g triangulation), standalone GPS. The last one is the one im having problems with.
 
I love this From and everything you guys do to it. I would use it permenantly if the status bars was correct, camera button and themes fixed. But everything is good. good job!
 
Using an application called Script Manager

Then loading the 3G SuperCharger Script,

Once it loads, press 8 to UnTurboCharge, then let it get back to the option list and press 12. It should reboot your phone.

I have been playing around with it a little more. There are two main problems i have noticed with the rom.

1 - I have already mentioned this, the gps does not work. I have noted the gpsd file is missing so i guess they are working on this and removing all of the bugs out of the gingerbread version. I think it would be senseless just just import this from a stock rom if this is even possible. I think it needs recoding, I would attempt it myself but im away for sometime and dont have my comp here. With the stock I was unable to reconnect to a previous session for 50 minutes (could be cachecleanup related or other issues or a faulty GPS Chip). This was the main reason why i moved to this. My friends froyo casio gzone works fine.

2 - I have noticed for all the apps i install the menus for these apps do not follow the miui design actually for most of them i cant see anything. This is a big problem for configuring apps. Maybe i have not confgured something.

Themes have already been acknowledged, I didnt fix it when trying the rom but I wonder if no 2 was related.

Some minor issues - just touch up nonsense

3 - Wifi config screen was hanging a little when configuring a connection. I redid the rom though and didnt have any problems the second time.

4 - I would like an icon on the desktop to get to the applications manager.

5 - I noticed when you toggle the brightness and go back to auto it wont reset until you lock and unlock the phone this was a problem in 2.3.4 too.

6 - Would be nice to be able to change/ remove/ add icons at the bottom like on launcher pro.

7 - Theme issue but you can workaround this - not a biggie.

These are just little annoyances. Overall though im very pleased with this rom, its tens times better than the other cm7 and 100 times better than that google/samsung junk.

If anyone has a solution/ suggestions to the gps/ menu issues please let me know.

Send me a screenshot of your gps working on miui. Send me one of the desktop once you have a fix, I want to see the notifcation icon. Then load up the app gps test, once you have a fix, do a screenshot of this too and post.

i never said icons worked..and im on cm7 now trying to work on data..so no miui for a little bit

I have the app but how do I find the supercharger

nevermind. i thought i read earlier that it was built in and was causing problems with data but i guess he bo took it out for the latest build.. sorry my noob is showing
 
Is there any way to fix the data? Because I just installed the room twice now and I have no data, WiFi isn't working either ... I really like the rom I hope there's a fix for the data.

Upi forgot one thing on that list. You cant send a text message thats way to long. Its sends to the user but it in mumbo jumbo. Example is i were to basically test a huge message and when i go over character limit which then turns it into 2 messages, instead of it coming out with the ending "Hey we meeting up at the park bring your equipment for training" it would come out like this "!!41CFWE =4fr+)(((eR) VR%!$!3 +_*!_$*!_!( @)%*RF@" ill even text you to show you this error. Would you guys have any clue of a workaround or any ideas? i could try and fix this message issue.

Reflash, same happened to me where i couldnt send picture messages. Just clear out sys & data format Cache and delvik then install, sign in google if you can and reboot into recovery, install MMs fix and then go back and mount system and data. If not mistaken i tried it in this order and it worked. i think most have mounted system and data then installed mms fix. or mount sys and data and then install mms fix. Try it and let me know what you get
