Just one area not 100%, speaker phone is very low, other than that I cain't find anything else
 
I wonder if the kato kernel works on this? Possibly with the SD-EXT enabled. Haven't tried S2E yet though.

What i did to change keyboards is i froze the android keyboard then enabled the one i wanted to use in the settings the right after dont exit settings reboot from there then it works i know its a lil bit of work but it works

Odd I have it installed and it doesn't seem the SD-EXT is working. Hmm I'll see if I can tweak it. I figured Kato was installed just wanted to make sure. Playing around with it now. Trying to see if I can break it :)

P.S: What are you people running? EJ06 or FA19? I'm personally running on EJ06.

My sd ext is working fine with fresh install and i am using EJ06 of course :)

Okay just making sure ;) I got it working not sure why it didn't at first. Had to reimage it again.

Now all we need to do is get rid of all these Chinese characters everywhere.


P.S: I can't seem to get the WIFI to work >.>. I wish there was a way to disable the initial lock screen and just go to the pattern one lol. Oh WELL!
 
what kernels can we use on it? it looks pretty good. i can see hroark and kouma really doing something with this. can some one post benchmark results? what mods and tweaks can we use with it? im thinking of trying it out.

With adreno drivers. Just running it at 888mhz.
 
Few things I've noticed:


  • Lock screen has the months in Chinese.
  • Market app force closes every time. I can't install anything. I've tried several methods to try to get it to work, but nothing has worked.
  • Wifi didn't work at start. I had to reset the phone and turn on and off the switch several times before it worked.
  • I keep getting that 9302 text on my Messaging app.
  • The phone lags at first during the settings screen but eventually goes away. I blame caching for this ;)
  • The sound is indeed a bit low. I wish there was a way to increase it.
  • Not sure why but once in awhile my Boost settings gets removed from Mobile Networks.
  • A lot of the apps still have Chinese settings and characters :(
  • The LeWa cStore is all in Chinese. I believe it would be best just to remove it. Unless they have an English counterpart.
  • Sometimes hitting certain apps on the app menu starts up the wrong app. Example I clicked on Email once and it opened up the About Lewa app to do an update.
  • That Gallery Icon could be improved LOL.
  • The Intercept app looks and sounds cool but it seems to be causing some issues, main cause of the 9230 text error.
  • SDManager app force closes every time.
  • The SuperUser app is the Chinese version.
  • The Version Upgrade icon or app should be removed as it doesn't work correctly.
  • The Calendar app has it's name shown in Chinese and in fact most of it is in Chinese.


These are just some of the things I've found so far. I'm sure there are others but I haven't tested everything yet. The phone runs REALLY smoothly. I love this mod it's slick and fast. Just needs some fine tuning that's all.

I'll let you know if I come across anything else. Right now the biggest problem is the market app not working.

freeze Intercept with titanium back up to stop that 9230 thing market works for me idk what happened with yours. wifi works fine with mine, vol is fine with mine. idk why you are having these issues every time you reboot you do have to select boost as your apn tho. the app i hit launches. it doesn't launch a different app. but all the china stuff you talk about i have also i just work around it anyways

mine wont even load. i flashed it and then wiped dalvik cache. it satys stuck on the lewa screen. is it because i am using kouma kernel?

\never mind got it to work
 
Forgive me for geeking out for a minute.

But I'm typing this message on my HP touchpad bluetooth keyboard.

I just paired it up and it works awesome. I'm pretty stoked. :)

Who knew???? I guess I'll keep looking for other things this rom will do.

what kernel is compatible? i had it working but the lag was so bad and alot of apps wouldnt fc or would open and show blank.

i was checking the build.prop on my pc and i found some lines that were repeated with different values. i deletes them and replaced the build.prop on the zip with the new one and i am testing it out right now.
