To burgertime... Neo over at isn was nice enough to retweet one of my tweets asking him to see if any of his followers had heard anything about an eta at radioshack.... And got numerous answers most being to look out for tomorrow... So hopefully we can join the cool people over in the I got mine thread

I saw that. I'm too waiting on Radio Shack for my preorder. I've called different locations and spoke with numerous people. The responses are the same, the phone is held in customs with no release date or call back Friday as we are expecting deliveries. Nobody knows really, so I'm not expecting much from them unfortunately.

I don't feel sorry for you Best Buy pre-orderers. Those of us who pre-ordered from Amazon have been kept completely in the dark and we have no idea when the phones are going to be released.

Same with people who ordered from Wirefly. My status screen still says "ships in 2-3 weeks".

New post from ISN this morning. According to him, the Sprint stores /should/ be arriving today and that if you pre-ordered in the store (were put on their Device Waiting List, more accurately), that you should be able to pick them up. I really hope this is true...so tired of the lack of EVO.

As of right now they are taking care of PreOrders ONLY if they(BestBuy) read the memo that was released last night correctly. Until Sprint puts out an actual release date for the general public. I know Best buy over stocked there stores but with only a few extra phones.
Best thing to do is go to your local BB store and do a preorder and maybe if that store hasn't used up their backstock you might get one. You'll get an email about an half an hour later letting you know if you can pick one up or not.

I thought about doing that but my issue is I'm still with Verizon, I would like to port my number over but they said that they cant give me a phone they don't have when I sign up for a new plan. I guess I'll just wait.

Interesting issue this morning. Last night I got an email from BB saying there was a problem with my order, contact customer service or the order will be canceled.

So I called CS, spent 40 minutes on hold to get someone to tell me that there was an issue with applying the LTE phone to my account, as my account was set up for WIMAX. Ok, makes sense. So he hands me off to another hold queue to wait for someone to correct the issue.

40 min later, a new CS rep comes on. She has to contact Sprint to take care of the issue. Please hold while I contact them. 20 min later, (I'm really sick of the hold music by now) and the CS Rep is back saying everything's all set. Phone order will be filled and based on delivery and the long weekend I should have the phone by Wednesday next week.

What?!?!?!?! Oh well, it's not the end of the world...

Then this morning I leave for work, and my data connection is gone. What a PITA.

Not sure if I want to spend another hour on hold to fix the issue only to have to do it again on Wednesday when I get the LTE.

ARGHHHH!

I'm now being helped and there's an activation error so the BB clerk is on the phone looking about half as exasperated as I am. I don't think anything I've bought in any category has been as much trouble as this phone. Makes me look forward to buying a house.

We had the exact same problem. Sat at best buy for almost an hour crashing computer after computer trying to fulfill my pre-order. Sprint told the manager to just keep trying, and when they called their own direct software help line to see if it was a best buy software problem, they sat on hold for another half hour. They ended up figuring a backdoor way to activate the pre-order before they were even off hold.

After going back and forth about all the rebates and such, it was 2 hours before I was out the door with my new phone. Ridiculous but glad that's over.

The original EVO 4G also took over an hour because of Sprint servers on release day. I'm starting to think I should just be patient and wait just one single day after release day to go and pick up my phone from now on lol....

Same with people who ordered from Wirefly. My status screen still says "ships in 2-3 weeks".

I pmd wirefly on here and Kim got back to me quickly but I did not get any real update as to when I will get my phone. The status screen for me says TBD waiting for inventory. I did get shipping upgraded to one day for free. There is no telling when you or I ordered and I suspect that we won't know anything until it ships.

Well there was a huge launch guide that my BB rep refused to read.. Took her 2.5 hours to get everything right.

One of her problems was not taking off old $10 premium few and putting on new one. Among other things..

Was very very painful.

But, again, free, so can't complain.

I would have thought the shipments would have left customs at the same time for all retailers. Apparently Sprint and BB had the top priority as their warehouses / shipping facilities shipped at the same time to stores / customers.

It's almost as if Wirefly, RS, and Amazon got dropped back to a second import shipment from HTC.

don't mean to rub it in and I'm sorry if it looks that way to the ones that are still waiting for it but all of us that got one already should really consider ourselves blessed!

this is an awesome device guys so waiting is more then worth it. hard, I know but your wait will be rewarded I guarantee it.

as I said before, pictures and reviews don't do this phone justice. it is one slick device. none like it on the market atm.

I don't think it was a large launch at all. Only 5 pre orders at my BB.. And I was 3 of them.

My step son said same thing about his.. as others have on here.

I am thinking they just didn't ship a ton of these things..

This is from [xda-developers.com] -developers EVO 4G LTE general thread:

Matstarr: 1-800-444-9543 Corporate Office. Time for everyone to call and ask what is going on here. We are paying customers and WF is withholding information about a phone like we are asking for top secret F.B.I. Files. I understand the delay but the communication is horrible. I will also have you guys know that we didn't get an update Email until after I called and asked why every other company besides WF alerted all consumers of a delay.

Jackrm9: I just got off the phone with corporate..she said phones are there and being processed and will be shipping tomorrow. In the order they where ordered..i ordered on the 9th hope mine is delivered in the first batch! She also said they did get a big batch of them in.

BTW, also hopped on chat and got upgraded to next-biz day shipping. Rumor has it on XDA that they'll arrive on Tuesday for those who ordered earliest. ... Herez hopin'. ...

Looks like Wirefly has the inventory and is working on shipping phones tomorrow.

Just caught this. Did you mean tomorrow as in Saturday? RS is still clueless today.

I am wondering if we aren't feeling the customs hold. If wirefly, RS get the phones direct from the HTC then it could be a wait for them to clear customs. I think that is BS.
I still hold Crapple responsible for this whole mess. IF they think the I thingy is all that then why even enforce the patent infringement. I think this phone scares them.

I finally got my LTEVO from my local BB Mobile after waiting for 3 hours in the store for my coupon codes to get sent to the Best Buy Employee. I got the phone for $99 after the gift card and the $50 you get for renewing a 2 year contract, plus I got my activation fee waived. I walked out of there paying only $99 plus taxes, and 50% off of all my accessories due to the wait.

Feels good guys, the phone is so much better than I expected. :)

I'm happy to say that I have finally picked up my LTEvo from Best Buy! After getting the run around most of the day yesterday, I called the Best Buy Mobile HQ today at 9:45 AM EDT. The canned message about the LTEvo had changed with a prompt to "press 1" for more info, so I did. I reached a very helpful woman who took my pre-order reservation number and checked the system at store #0299. She saw that they had received 10 PHONES YESTERDAY, but they were not in inventory. She also saw that there were 10 more pre-orders that were awaiting shipment. My pre-order confirmation was dated 5/7/2012 at 11:44AM, so she said I was in the group that should have a phone waiting for me in the store.

The Best Buy Mobile CSR then called the store and it took over 20 minutes for her to get in touch with personnel at this location. They first said that they did not have the phones, but she insisted that they did and they should look again. Finally, someone came back and said that they did have the phones, and offered an explanation that they must have come in on the truck last night. Of course this is bogus, as UPS delivers phones to Best Buy, and I spoke with them after 6PM yesterday when the guy told me had had not looked in three containers that had arrived earlier that day.

The Best Buy Mobile CSR then told me I could go to the store and pick up my phone! When I arrived, they were waiting for me and greeted me by name. The long saga was finally over - or so I thought! The person in the Mobile Phone department was very polite and he was trying to get everything processed, but he had no clue as to how to get the $50 gift card applied to the phone purchase. At one point he asked if I could come back in a few hours while they sorted out the problem. I told him to get his manager to approve the $50 gift card another way or the next time I walked through their door would be my last. He then figured out that he was not inputing the information properly. I sat through two system reboots and finally we moved to a different terminal to complete the transaction. I also waited through a call to Sprint to resolve an issue with the plan which turned out to also be caused by the Best Buy employee's unfamiliarity with the process. He actually was reading the step-by-step guide out loud to me while he was processing the activation. As the next LTEvo customer was waiting behind me for his turn, we finally completed the transaction - and it only took 1 hr and 25 minutes! And all I had him do was to activate the phone! I did the data migration and all account sync and setup myself after leaving the store. I will say that the guy was nice and apologized throughout the process, but nearly 1.5 hours to buy a phone?

I'm very happy to have my new phone, and I hope everyone who has not received theirs yet will get it ASAP!
