I was in Best Buy yesterday to return a Palm Pixi and asked the Best Buy mobile rep if he had heard of any new android phones for Verizon coming and all is said is "I don't know until they get here". So I didn't get anything out of him which I didn't expect too to begin with.

Although they may have the device on hand, the actual sale of the device might be limited by the fact that it won't be available for check-out. Then, if for some odd reason you were able to convince a salesperson to sell it under the table and ring it in the next day, there will likely be the problem of activating the device. Thanks, I'm going to get impatient and go to the store a day before, but like you said, slim chance getting it a day early :(

I think it was the other way around if I remember correctly. Verizon had it exclusively and then the other retailers received it shortly thereafter. I may be wrong, though! My before-Christmas memory is shot!

I had no interest in the Droid so I didn't really follow up on it. But if you're speculation is true, then I would assume that VZW would get it before stores like Walmart/Bestbuy/etc.
 
Same thing here Woop. I wasn't interested in the Droid so I didn't pay attention. I wish I had now. It would be awesome if Best Buy would carry the Incredible before hand, but since it's a high-end phone, its pretty doubtful. I'm still going to hold out hope though :)

I know 3 people that work at the local Best Buy (although not the wireless dept) who I will be checking up with on a regular basis to ask if they see any cellphone-looking pallets in the back warehouse. I'll update here if I get any news. So far, there has been nothing on this front though.:(

edit: Ok after doing a very quick Google search, I do believe Best Buy had the Droid for pre-order before the official release date.. so hopefully this will be the case with the Incredible

Can someone please clarify for me the Incredible's alleged status in regards to Flash? Are we expecting it to come bundled with/be upgradeable to 10.1?
 
I believe were stuck on Flash Lite as of now, but like V4npro said, once Adobe makes it compatible, it will be available on the Incredible.
 
That's what I had gathered. I saw the video of 10.1 being previewed on the Nexus One. Looked impressive. Will look even better once it's incredible. :)

It's supposed to be out of the box on the Desire, which I imagine means all future HTC Android devices will include it as well.

Personally, I can't wait to have one in my hands. I'd prefer an interchangeable backplate because I think the red really makes it stand out from all the other (non-Incredible) phones, but I also wouldn't want to be targeted as the guy that's "begging for attention".

i work for vz..ill keep my eyes n ears open for ANY info...but i gotta say vz is pretty legit at not letting any of their employees know what's coming out..bastards..loljk..

***Although SOMETIMES Cust Care (not tele-sales) will run a promo (like they are right now) and those who are not eligible for an upgrade AND have a non-smart phone can get an early upgrade if they move up to a smart phone..FYI!*** :D ur welcome.

Seriously, what do I need to re-name this thread in order not to have it threatened to be shut down because we can't discuss in detail a device we have very few details about? I'm a little annoyed at you whiners out there that went and complained to the mods. It was specifically said the official thread was shut down due to complaints. For those of you where time is a premium, learn how to sift through and speed read the thread. It's not terribly difficult. Between two kids and work, I can't contribute nearly as much as some on here, nor can I spend a lot of time on the forum, but I find it much more convenient to focus on one thread alone. I think having to visit a dozen or more threads, as the mods suggest, would be even more time consuming for me and it's not my preference.

I was a heavy lean to the N1 about two weeks ago, but I think I'm on board with the Incredible crowd. The specs are plenty good enough and the support plus subsidy is a clincher for me. Hope that the Mar 27 date pans out. (There's my obligatory Incredible mention.)

For you PA folk, I mentioned in another thread awhile back I'm a PSU alum (and huge fan). Both sides of my family are from PA and I'm a huge Pittsburgh sports fan (sans Pitt ;)). Go Pens!

If this hasn't been answered yet, if you logon to your vzw account and click on phone upgrade it will tell you what your eligible for or when you will be eligible.

Man you are a sorry little person huh? You must find pleasure in others misery. Why else would you go out of your way to call on the Mod Squad? Why would you want something closed that you surely do not care about sense all you want according to your post is a release date. I think you just want to see other people suffer. Your a sorry excuse for a human. With the lack of compassion that you display for other peoples wants you surely are a sociopath. I mean why else would you try to make other people suffer the close of this thread. Its not hurting anyone. You sir are a shame.

If this thread is closed due to this request then I would like to make a request of my own. I would like this person who has nothing positive to input be banned. I think that he has only ulterior motives. Which maybe a great detriment to the this community.
