I wanted to chime in and say hi. I've been following this thread and the closed one as well for quite some time. I'm a current "Tour" user but after using my friends droid the Incredible is my next phone. I appreciate all the info this forum finds. I'm a total noob to Android, but not for long. Keep the info coming! I'll have everyone I know running Android rooted and loaded up with all the goodies. (off topic-yes, but I had to drop in and get my feet wet)

You will have to remove the DRM before it will play on anything other than the authorized Apple device. There a programs out there to do that.

Again, there's more to the loss on the device sale than just part/manufacturing.

So you buy a Droid for $99, that's already starting at a loss. Add other administrative costs and you get the point.

I do... I forgot this. Boy, do they make it up on me and take it out of my hide. I have about a 250.00 monthly bill!

Oh $hit, are you kidding...i gotta admit, now that i know that "On Probation" exists, i'm even more ticked that the old thread was closed...that's what should have been done with all the a$$clowns.

breathing..."3, 2, 1,....1, 2,3...what the heck is bothering me..."

Wussahhhh

More than anything, my point is that carriers are using the excuse that they're losing money to tack on a $350 ETF. They aren't losing $350 on every DROID sold at the original $199, and should be using an ETF that is appropriate.

So whenever I hear the that they're losing money on every phone sold, I think of the way VZW justifies their ETF, and I get a little antsy.

I don't wanna add anymore posts to this outside topic so if you don't agree with me, that's fine. When in Rome.

been following for a while now. my first post, here it goes:

I have the BB curve 2, i like to say that i am on my way to an android (looks like its gona be an Incredible). I got one problem tho. I use a Macbook Pro (15''). are there any solutions for syncing my itunes and iphoto library to my upcoming Incredible.

I am an android noob, but am a very fast learner.

I am here and I am awaiting the call from him. I might go up there at lunch to see what he says if I don't get a call from him before hand. I let everyone on here know what I find out.
Anxiously waiting for this guy to get back to us. Apang if you are around let us know if the info fell through or not. It would suck if it did but at least I can stop refreshing every 5 min :)

DoubleTwist, but it won't sync DRM'ed media.

Doubletwist for itunes. Correct me if I am wrong!

I think that program will allow you to add music in iTunes to your Android phone.

For how many lines?

2 smartphones: my and my college daughter
2 feature phones.

My daughter and I are the heavy users of data. She's a BB freak, now. I must say, it is a useful tool for a college kid.

Just finished reading the last 5 pages and as the person that posted the last two posts before the lockdown I appoligize to everyone if it was me that caused the thread to be locked. Now after saying that in my defence
1.How does past practices on their releases not have to do with the incredible it sets precedence to their schedule on releases
2. If the Apple lawsuit causes a delay in the release of the incredible isnt that relevant to the incredible
3. If you wish to have just the official specs of a phone then have a sticky with that info that no one other than mods or admin can post to and then have someone update that sticky, as any open forum thread is going to get off track

Once again Sorry....

Honestly I didn't read your posts in the locked down thread, nor will I because I don't care about it at this point. I just want to say that you clearly only have posted 8 times on these forums, there is no way that you were a single contributor to the issue. I feel that you have no reason to apologize and I hope the coincidence doesn't drive you away. You're more than welcome here.

HA I have One Bill from Verizon which covers 2 x Cell Phones (Omnia and BlackBerry), 2 x Land Lines, FiOS TV, and FiOS Internet

About $510 a month. Verizon should be giving me phones for free

I'm 24 and have a BB for one reason at this point...everyone else does... BB Messenger is the single draw for me at this point, but I don't really care any more, I'm moving to the Incredible once VZW comes out with it.

well, if you count my cable and telephone, and internet, as well, we'd come up about the same.. I'm at 550 ish. :D

I know there was talk before of Verizon's strategy when it comes to sales on existing phones prior to the launch of a new arrival on the prior thread. I noticed today that there were literally a dozen signs around the strip mall that contains a Verizon store announcing a change to the BOGO sale that had been ongoing for the past couple of weeks. I don't know if there is any significance one way or another (and some people that have more knowledge of this can speak to it) but every sign read "Buy a Droid, get any phone free." Wasn't it buy a droid, get another droid free last week?

Just got an email from a friend of mine at Verizon saying they got the Incredible today to start training this week! Very exciting news!
Does he work at a Verizon store or office? Also, does anyone know or have an idea of what the typical training period is for a new phone prior to its release? If its 2 - 4 weeks then this is pretty exciting stuff if the report is true.

Is your friend a sales guy at a Verizon store or some higher-up?

I'm on htc's verizon training site and haven't seen anything interesting yet.
