Could be/probably.
Do people with "connections" get the chance to buy the phone or have it before it comes out? Reason I'm asking is "my". I take that quote 2 ways.
Testing (the phone he was given to test) or Testing it out (like I just bought it/was given one) and I am testing it out.
Know what I mean? Could possible testers, VZW employees, Family members of higher up VZW staff, etc be allowed to purchase the phone before the public?
What boggles my mind is how few people in the tech media have moles on the inside of the major telco's and phone manufacturers. If I were the owner of Phandroid.com I would be encouraging my staff to entertain, wine and dine decision makers at Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, HTC, Motorola, etc. and develop relationships where these people are willing to throw you a morsel of exclusive information that they wouldn't otherwise be inclined to do. What the heck ever became of "investigative reporting"? It's no longer done in this day and age and all we get are regurgitated stories on blog and tech sites - many of which have their origins in forums such as ours. I mean how pathetic is that?I really feel like if the 27th was the real deal we will be seeing more confirmation over the rest of this week with official confirmation during CTIA. I have only seen 1 (apang) person who said the 27th. Not dis-crediting him, but I need more than that to believe it.
Edit: That whole thing of it not being released until December?! Man that would NOT be good. Not at all.

If there was such a thing as "journalism" in the blogosphere, perhaps we'd all be just a bit more enlightened and informed. As much as I hate to say it, what's really needed in the tech industry is a TMZ.com type site where they go above and beyond to get the dirt on the latest greatest products. The problem with Phandroid, Engadget, BGR, etc. is that no one wants to get their hands dirty and do the hard and oft tedious work of cultivating inside sources. Someday someone is going to "get it" in the tech media and whoever the outlet is that does will be the big winner.
The tweet was directed to ozzieman, it was BeerBar0n that tweeted he was testing the Incredible
Correct me if i'm wrong, but Verizon has always been hush hush about upcoming products...the only thing we can hope for is that Verizon wants to be quiet and at CTIA blow the doors off of the convention center and announce a phone that will blow all the other US carriers out of the water. I'm being very optimistic, lets hope the plays out in some way.
Didn't someone here propose that news would be leaked on St. Patrick's Day? I guess that myth can be put to rest. Next.....
Phones yes, but I am talking about Verizon news in general. Usually there are tons of articles on a variety of things: Upgrading network, services, products, LTE, something. I mean there hasn't really been any real new news for awhile. It just seems strange. Maybe this is the quiet before the CTIA storm and there will be big news. I hope so, we need something new for the thread lol
I don't see where anyone has mentioned this yet, but Engadget has new pictures and video of the Incredible. I doesn't look that much like the other pictures that were post here yesterday.

We def need something...but this week I need to buckle down and concentrate on a big midterm I have next Wednesday....damn grad school...but right now I'm addicted to this forum and Incredible news...
Some guy in twitter has, "Incredible, hero update delayed, what a disappointment." So I dunno what that means. He is saying it @ HTC.

My guess would be he's disappointed the 2.1 update for Sprint Hero is delayed. He could have said "Damn, hero update delayed, what a disappointment." and it never would have crossed your "Incredible radar".
