Root Too late for MIUI Gingerbread?

you can go root explorer/system/app and do some cleaning, just be carefull!!!! do a backup first before trying anything anywhere.

OK. I'm looking now. Seems like all the themes I was downloading added a lot. And when removing them some parts maybe stayed. Like the icons is like 16 MB.:mad:

hopefully this helps?? be careful!!! and you don't need tons of free space but a little is nice.

Thanks for the help, I cleared some stuff and made a little over 15 mb of room.

What had me even checking this in the first place was I was downloading an app from the play store and it failed and said I didn't have enough memory. I closed out and reopened the play store and the next time it downloaded no problem.

Guess it was just a glitch.

Well that's good, see all you need is a little bit a extra memory .

Titanium Backup is what I use. I always back the app up first so I can reinstall it if removing it screws something up.;)

Ya that's what I used. It has a neat feature to long press an app you want to move out of system rom and select convert to user app. Pretty handy and only one click per app.

YUP. I even bought the pro key. :D That app has saved me a lot of time in the past. ;)

is it possible to add the music player and lockscreen from Lewa ROM?? and remove the miui music player and lockscreen from this ROM? i guess that could be helpful huh? :D

Hmmmm.. good question..I'll play around a bit with it...I know the lewa file ext for themes is different but that can be renamed.

Would be nice to have a list of known bugs and a changelog on the original thread. That way people can just check to see if its a known bug and or if a bug got fixed. It helps a lot trust me.

Thanks bro! I was just giving a suggestion to put it on the OP to people can see the change log and see what's been fixed from build to build. That way folks can track bugs and get quick info on known bugs. Otherwise folks would have to read the entire thread ;)

I know I've mentioned this on the LeWa thread. But I can't help myself! I love contributing suggestions and ideas to the community. :)

Btw thanks for this MIUI build. :beerglass::beer:

BUG
Kinda big one :D
Can not check setting for installing apps from unknown sources. You check the box, back out and go back into the menu and it's unchecked (and still won't allow apps to be installed from sdcard):banghead::(

Edit-rebooted and now it's checked (and i can install from sd):confused: lol

Switched over from Lewa since the call issue.

This is indeed very stable now.

I see that HID works on this one too, so I'm able to pair my bluetooth keyboard. :)

Been trying everything anď its working well.

I Odined back to stock and went with a fresh install on this one. Looks like it payed off, my lil phone which doesn't overclock well just broke 2300 benchmark running 888mhz.

There is an app called real signal that will put a phone signal in the left hand side of notification bar when you want it showing. In case anyone wondered what their signal was. You open the app and click play or stop when you don't want it there.
