He's referring to the back of the Desire (both phones in that picture are Desires), and how similiar it will be to the Incredible (not pictured).

EDIT: with Apang sayin' the next few days, Friday (19th) would fit in nicely. CTIA seems too far for "few".

How does this sound? Press release Friday (19th), advertisments starting (19th), hands on with the phone at CTIA (23rd-25th), release the 27th?

That also fits in with the NCAA tourny advertising.

i agree with almost everything but the press release i think they would run some advertisments starting the 19th but not say anything about the phone, kind of like the droid how it kept you on the edge of your seat then announce it maybe at CTIA with hands on and tech sites getting the phone then us the following week or so
 
Okay, I trust no one will get upset over this. ;)

I went into my VZW store today because my friend's rouge died. A great excuse for me to walk around :). The people there are generally good. There are so tech savvy salesmen. I went up to one and asked about the Nexus One and they said that it would be out by the end of April *yawn* Okay,...but then I asked about the Incredible. The sales guy said, "The HTC Incredible?" I about died when he knew it was made by HTC. He then continued, "Yah, the head regional manager is working with it...It's a new phone in testing." That's all he gave me. He said that he had no info other than it was near. Some of the stuff we already heard, but just from another mouth.

Sorry, ok, i think i get it, but don't we already know what the back will look like from the pics? (meaning "contoured")

I think his real reference was to the fact that it looks like a soft touch back (which is basically confirmed) and that they would leave the red accent around the camera (which I really hope)

Man, everywhere we look it seems like this phone is working its way through VZW. I'm really starting to think that we will see this phone this month!
 
I have Tapatalk app on my droid. Allows me to view a number of different forums on my phone in a useable format. Androidforums in now included.

Makes following news about the htc incredible....incredibly easy.

I hope the production HTC Incredible isn't as glossy as the one we saw in those leaked photos. The front was like all glossy, i prefer the metallic/aluminum feel more, less fingerprint prone also and just feels a lot sturdier and nicer in general.

I think it might the the chiseled appearance of the back of the Incredible, versus the smooth iPhone-esque back of the Desire. I must say, I think I would have liked the physical buttons on the front of the Desire, but would definitley pick either of them over the current generation iPhone. (No thanks to the trackball on the N1. :cool:)
 
If Sprint actually launches the Supersonic next week that could actually be a catalyst to me switching. I would have to demo (like I would the Incredible) but something about Android 2.1 with Sense on a 4.3" screen really screams BUY ME. Especially with my company discount.

Oh yeah...and I am in a 4G city as well.

We probably won't see it this month. Why would VZW want to release this super high-end smartphone on the last days of the quarter? Why not wait to have quarter 2 (April) get all the good numbers for the beginning?
