You know with the attention this thread has gotten from other interwebz out there everyone is watching it like a hawk and i'd be any relevant news will come here first.

$hit, especially now that we've gotten our Dynasty/Dallas/All My Children drama out of the way!
 
Does anyone think that the corporate suits at Verizon have any idea how anticipated this phone is? Do you think they pop in here from time to time and see our excitement, angst, frustration and joy anytime there's news or no news on this phone? I'm just curious as to how close they keep their ears to the pavement and gauge the temperature of their current and potential new subscribers?

hmmm, they probably have a small team for that.
 
I am wondering if I am a week away from my contract being up if they would give me a weeks grace period if I am buying four of them. My contract is up on 4/2.
 
I could see an annoucment Friday (19th) or at CTIA with TV adds following immediately that day or the next. I think when they annouce this phone they will give a release date. No keep people hangin' on.

EDIT: with Apang sayin' the next few days, Friday (19th) would fit in nicely. CTIA seems too far for "few".

How does this sound? Press release Friday (19th), advertisments starting (19th), hands on with the phone at CTIA (23rd-25th), release the 27th?

That also fits in with the NCAA tourny advertising.
 
I kinda miss the new thread and complaining about the post being closed. It made me feel all rebellious. Now, I'm reduced to being a common proletariat :p

The phone team lead (or some posistion like that) probably scans the internet for the phone name to see how much chatter is out there. I don't see this phone being like the Eris and getting announced only a day before it goes on sale.

If you contract is up on 4/2....then you should already be able to upgrade, but if that's the point where you're 4 months away from your contract end date, you might be able to haggle with them.

also, XV6900 MUST DIE! I need a new phone! All the emails from these threads are getting forwarded to my phone. It's bogging it down so badly I've rebooted 3 times in the past 20 minutes just so I can clear the emails from memory. I swear, if that thing goes above 30% memory, it's useless....

I don't think they do...when the Omnia 2 was slated to come out there were 9000 posts in Verizon's own forum with as much anticipation as this...Verizon took their sweet time launching that phone 6 months.
 
ok im with verizon right now, and my contract ends on march 19th but the CSR lady said i couldnt upgrade until my NE2 which is august 10th? cant i still get the incredible at the 2 year contract price?

Sorry if this is off topic as it pertains to the incredible because this phone looks amazing and have been waiting for a long time for it to come out! I got to play with an htc hero from sprint and that phone made me want the incredible more than ever
 
This post is for you who are still hung up on getting the Incredible or the Nexus One. For me it's no contest, Incredible all the way! But some have commented they actually prefer the Nexus One UI. Well I just came across an article with accompanying video that shows someone disabling HTC Sense UI. Well guess what you get, virtually a Nexus One with 3d app launcher and everything. So to me this is the ultimate of both worlds. You get a Incredible with Sense and all the other goodies or when you feel like a Nexus One, you can have it.

Yeah, I could see them doing the same thing they did for the BB Storm same things as they did for the storm

I think the main thing with that was Verizon never announced that they were getting the Omnia 2 until it was about at release, Samsung put on their website that it was going to Verizon.

Yes, you should be able to, but by doing that, you forfeit the additional discount from your NE2.

Thank you for your response, I asked the CSR lady that and she was like no you will not be able to upgrade your phone, and a question about the sense ui on the incredible it comes with 7 home screens? and the android 2.1 comes with only 3?
 
any word yet on accessories, i kinda want a dock like the N1 has (just for my Incredible)!
did anybody (NKT or some one else) notice if there where dock pins on the bottom?
