Although the discount does not apply to contract phones, the discount is good for no-contract phones.

Like you, I wasn't sure about the 10% anytime soon, so I went with Radio Shack since they offered to stack 2 coupons (1) SAVE20 ($20) for purchases over $125 and (2) $10 off for signing up for their email newsletter.

So I did get the phone for $269.99 and don't have to wait for any BB coupons!

Nice, I pre-ordered it from BB tho just because it's only gonna cost me about $260 w/tax with all the gift cards and RZ points I've got laying around. That's about all I've got in the patience department tho lol. Anybody that has it after the tenth if BB doesn't then they've got my business
 
I went in and Pre-Ordered it today.Hopefully they DO show up on the 10th.And Not the 17th like I was told might be possible.
 
When I was calling around for the phone on Friday, the lady at best buy tried to tell me there WAS no Virgin mobile EVO. I hope she sees the add and remembers that call.
 
Virgin mobile is getting the evo aswell but my sprint and master agent wasn't sure when. They are thinking next month.

Did you ever get an email after the pre order? All I got was the paper agreement so I'm kind of worried :confused:

where are these coupons you speak of good ser. can i confirm on rat shacks site?
 
I don't know if any one else has best buys reward card, but they sent me a coupon in my email for ten dollars off anything in best buy. Any little bit helps. Only reason I'm waiting for best buy is because I have gift cards. If it wasn't for that I would have hunted down radio shacks at launch lol.

No. I don't think they can use that coupon online. it needs to be scanned. Also I don't feel like waiting for shipping. Want to get it in store with my hands on it right away lol. Plus with all the activation stories I'm hearing, I'm thinking about letting best buy switch over my phone number.

Trust me you don't want in store activation. All the problems stem from the fact that this phone uses a different activation process. Make sure that your plan is upgraded and both phones are turned off. Start the Evo and it will activate itself hands free. Took me a couple of calls and about 30 minutes to activate all because of a glitch that was incorrectly listing my plans details. Once that was corrected the phone self activated immediately with no problems.
 
Woohooooo..I was walking in to the Best Buy near me where I did the Pre Order ,and received the email saying my Evo V was available!!!
Two days early..sweetness! It showed up at 4 PM and I walked in at that same time.
Soooo...the phones is activated and I'm happy so far.
Much faster than the Optimus V of course.
Happy Days!!
