Thank you Anonimac, Phases and all Mods, Thanks Apang, Nkt, Stericson, and Thank You Everyone!!!

I have to say that it is glad to have the forum back to the way we liked about a month ago. It was MUCH easier to read and catch up with from yesterday. It was less stressful without long PM's to each other and nice reading short direct questions with the many different responses and possibilities to do once the Phone arrives. It was also nice that when the OT was out of control, It was handled responsibly and swiftly.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!:D

Sorry this was OT.

I think we should be able to theorize, speculate, hope and wish. But misleading and/or lying would serve no purpose!

alright...back on topic. Kappy, did you see my post from late last night about a new twitter feed concerning the "adr6300?"

edit: (I single you out because I know you have twitter)

Actually I'm not gonna bother tweeting him/it. I don't know if it is a real person or how its set up, but like it posts something every hour (or less) and just keeps putting stuff up there. I think it is something bogus to be honest. I don't put much stock in it..

I had similar concerns since we never really knew what was allowed and what wasn't. video.ardes cleared that up for me yesterday, and it might be helpful for everyone else to see:

Off topic is defined as something that doesn't pertain to the thread. The thread was for info about the Incredible. Off topic meant 6 pages of post not even related to phones.

Speculation, rumours, wish lists for features, even just making crap up about it... it's still all about the phone. That's fine, it's good, we want to encourage it, but we repeatedly got complaints that the thread was getting too difficult to read, no one could find information. I have now sticked the thread with all the important info, so this should make life easier as long as it is kept up to date.
So yeah, outright lying or making stuff up is not cool, but the door is really pretty wide open otherwise as long as it legitimately relates in some way to the Incredible.

Are we starving for a tidbit or what???

We need something to sink our teeth into and fast!

incredible! :D

I think it seems right now that we got just about as much as possible as we could from testers in terms of specs. Now we're just simply waiting for our apang and kcoan to run their sources for a confirmed spec sheet and release date. Our best shot at anything new at this point, IMHO, will be from someone at VZW that is high enough in the food chain to know.

Verizon HTC Incredible launch in just two weeks time? - SlashGear

and they just keep on and on! I bet 10 more 3rd party sites pop up saying the same thing. We all know what's up, but the info we get could easily be false and I find it quite funny they report it saying its leaked from "inside sources" and verizon.

Any new news I've missed since 5pm yesterday?

News?....No
Boob pic?...Yes (no value, unnecessary, poster on probation)
Bolded rant about how this forum sucks?...Yes (can't be all things to all people...poster was pointed to a few options that may be a better fit)
20+ responses to that rant?...Yes (unnecessary...one is fine, then just agree by giving "Thanks")

What I am excited about for the Incredible is seeing the utilization of the accelerometer in the navigation component of Android 2.1. It uses it to show which direction you are facing and orients the arrow based on how you are holding the phone.
That is wicked cool. IIRC there was talk of it having a built in compass too. This makes sense if it has awesome navigation and an advanced accelerometer, right?

I wouldn't put money on that...stay tuned.;)

True and I was thinking. Don't know if VZW would care, but the iMaxi is set to drop in stores on 4/3. I know they took or are taking pre-orders, but maybe VZW wants to make some noise around that date (27th or 1st launch). BTW, the 3rd is a Saturday.

It seems like VZW is the last of the big carriers to make some noise here over the past few weeks - month. Save the best for last eh? ;)

If you notice these dates they are all close.

3/27,
3/31 (would be 2 weeks from yesterday which is when these articles started posting)
4/1

This leads me to want to believe that something is gonna happen around this time. It's like too much info. is coming out (with similar dates) that it'd be surprising if it wasn't true. Ya know?

last night I posted that CNBC is the exclusive broadcast partner of CTIA and covering the event on air. I also dug up some more information for those that won't have access to a TV. Although it is not active yet, ctia.cnbc.com is the web address where they will stream keynote talks and other breaking news. You can also follow CNBC via XM/Sirius on channel 127 to get the audio coverage.

FWIW.
I just found out that my brother's Girlfriend works for Verizon and has something to do with Marketing.

So I gave all the questions to my Bro to ask her so that hopefully she would have a bone for us. She confirmed that she has in fact heard things about the phone internally and that there is a "buzz" going around the office about the release date.

There was mention from "next week" to "about a month"She is trying to dig up anything she can. Funny you would think that working for the Markenting dept. you would be able to get info. Verizon sure is keeping everything hush until the last minute.

I asked her to get me what ever info she could without getting her fired. She told me that as soon as she gets anything she will let me know. I will be sure to pass it along.:)

Do they have a twitter account?

Have you heard of any twitter accounts that will be following CTIA? I can get tweets on my phone and will be much easier for me, as well as others I'm sure, to follow during the day.

Anyway for Phandroid to set up a live running "news ticker" for info on CTIA? Maybe like a thread or something on the front page that runs news from the event? Kinda like the sports ticker on ESPN?

EDIT: as for sites online to follow I'll probably do BGR or engadget. They usually are on top of it and report live.

Today's the day for some "official" leaks, I can feel it... Not that VZW is going to put out anything themselves, but we'll see some official docs or other info, I think.

Please? :D
