Seems to me the Supersonic won't actually be in customers' hands for quite a while... lots of people have weighed in saying that VZW plays its cards very close to the vest, not announcing phones until within days of their release (likely because they're so confident in the superiority of their network), while other carriers seem more apt to openly build hype about their handsets. Having heard in the past that the SS would come "this summer" makes me wonder: have there been many examples of phones being on shelves weeks or months *before* the carrier/manufacturer said they would be? Or is it almost universal that rumored phones are either on time or late? I would guess that it is. Not that I'm a pessimist -- I'm really hopeful that we'll see the Incredible on or around the 27th!

woop: you're pretty on top of your game. does any of this make sense to you?
To be honest, I looked at it when you first posted, and it seems really similiar to when Montana Man(or was it someone else?) posted that Androidspy's twitter page, which unfortunately we were all unsure of, and I still am not sure the exact meaning. The main difference I see between the two, is this one is throwing out browser names, OS's, older phones, and even non-Android phones, whereas the other one was mainly recent Android devices.:(

the only thing I could find was some weird reference to audio by, believe it or not, a commodore 64! I found a website (run by Chris Abbott) that sets up mp3-like audio clips (c64) that look as if they are designed for a portable device. Other than that - nothing.

Just an attempt to get back on topic about specs, but no it was not really serious.:p

What I am excited about for the Incredible is seeing the utilization of the accelerometer in the navigation component of Android 2.1. It uses it to show which direction you are facing and orients the arrow based on how you are holding the phone.

Your guess is as good as mine on this one. I'm just as confused as you.

I hope there will be a ROM similar to Cyanogen's where they allow for full 360 degree accelerometer usage (turning the phone upside-down and having the screen reorient itself to the correct way)

My assumption is that any titties posted on this board would be the first titties seen by most of the men (not my married ass) ever in their lives. Just in case here is a sample:

Just a friendly reminder, please refrain from posts like this (images specifically). They add no value to the thread as a whole and can offend some members of our community. As has been said, anyone desiring such content is more than capable of finding much better examples on the interwebz.

Consider this a cautionary post and prime example of the type of content not intended for this thread.

Yep - I thought that too, woop. I immediately began to draw comparisons to AndroidDeviceSpy, with the only main difference being more recent Android devices listed.

I haven't seen that one. Was it my impression looking at N1 videos that it only goes into landscape by clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation, but not both?

Edit - was wondering if that might be the same for the Incredible

bunch of jibber jabber looks like ...... Mr. T

I know there were some tweets about CM working on the ATT nexus already and there are ports of it for the DROID .... we'll get it I'm sure. Only thing is will we be able to root to put it on there. I mean I don't see why they'd start locking the phones up now but we all know Verizon's past with crippling phones.

Thats typically how it is on most phones unfortunately. You can only turn them in certain directions for the accelerometer to take effect, which is why I hope we get a similar ROM that utilizes all 4 orientations (the hardware is capable, but the software is the limiting factor)

Just saw this. New version of Google maps, for anyone interested:

I think we'll be able to. As much as VZW does like to have control, I think them locking the bootloader wouldn't make much sense for them considering they seem to be on Google's open source bandwagon. Plus, from what the testers are saying, there really isn't much VZW apps integrated onto the phone, which lends me to believe they are letting their grip off some of the upcoming Android devices.

I hope so. Flashing and ROMS is the only thing keeping my current phone interesting at the moment. That's the most fun part for me :). BTW that book on developing Android apps is pretty good. I been reading it since last night and I can hardly put it down...

Definitely. Just the feel of customization makes me feel more like the phone is truly MINE. Plus, I'm sure if VZW does lock the bootloader, that someone will find a way around it. The Motorola Milestone (Droid in US) had the same problem, and eventually someone got in. I just wish I knew more about coding to actually be able to develop apps. Seems like it'd be a great side hobby to work on.

No doubt .... it's only software after all. I have to take 3 Java classes this year starting in May for school and I figured since I'm going to be learning it any might as well get in on the Android side of Java while I'm at it. Who knows I might right the next killer app :D . From what I've read so far ... the Android part is pretty straight forward its the Java part that I need to work on.

I hope that spec shows up soon. I can finally put my mind at ease. If everything that we speculate so far becomes fact ..... I'm defiantly getting this. 8 GB ROM is a game changer for high end Android phones! On a side note: HTC Response to Apple
