Wasn't aware of that option. Thanks for the tip and I may just do that, although I really want an Android phone with Sense. You could get a subsidized N1 on Tmobile for 180 as you'd be a new customer if you can't wait.

testman.verizonwireless.com works fine for me right now.
does anyone think incredible is not final name.... as we've seen before - HTC's internal names end up different. Eris was orignally Desire.....

Except the photo's have shown the name branded on the back so yes I think its the final name.

Pretty sure all the ones with the name on the back were the early red phones. Don't think the name was on the back of the recent pics that had the Verizon logo on them.
Yes, but I also read somewhere here that if you replace the ROM on the N1 with Sense it precludes you from receiving further Android O.S. updates. Is there any truth to that? You can load the Sense UI on any Android phone.![]()
True, but outside of Verizon and HTC they do not appear to be branded with anything. NO Google, no "With Sense".
With the way Verizon drags their feet anything is possible. It is still possible that we have yet to see the "final" final version of the Incredible.
They could swap out backplates at the very last minute.

Yes, thats how it works. No OTA updates, but typically if you flash a respectible ROM, they come out with new builds frequently.I would discount the possibility of OTA updates if using a rooted phone with a ROM. But then again if the update is any good odds are the ROM will get updated in time.
The red back did look more launch ready. The black back is from NKT's pics which were of the testing unit which means..............the launch version will have a blue back.
I'm pretty sure the black back was the final. The red/pinkish back was the ugly test one probably colored so brightly to keep track of those test phones. The only red back that anyone even thought would be awesome was the computer rendered version someone created yesterday.
Just my input though
Maybe we'll have several color choices like the Desire.I would say it's definitely an old revision, because the speaker port was moved from the notch on the red one to the flat surface on the black. Even so... that doesn't mean we won't see a different flavor of backplate at launch.

Actually, the red back was branded by Verizon also. It was in the lower left, just hard to see because the back was so glossy.I'm pretty sure the black back was the final. after all the red back had no detail and the black was even branded by Verizon.
