Actually, the red back was branded by Verizon also. It was in the lower left, just hard to see because the back was so glossy.

It's still hard to see, but under the HTC Incredible branding, it says Verizon Wireless

All I see is on the left sice it says "HTC INCRDEIBLE" then underneath that "with HTC Sense". Can't find it!!!

Didn't see anyone post this yet.

HTC A9292 'Supersonic' shows up in another inventory listing

Could the Supersonic have passed through the FCC without anyone noticing it? Verizon really better get their a$$ in gear or they are going to lose a lot of people to the Supersonic.
Yea i read it. Doesn't seem like much relating to the HTC Incredible though. Good for Sprint though, too bad WiMax is in only a few major cities and the fact that LTE will be the more preferred form of 4G. Supposedly all 3 carries; Verizon, AT&T, T-MO are looking into LTE, of course we already know Verizon. But this will let phones be used across all 3 carriers possible leaving Sprint out.

Oh wow, really really sorry. My eyes are playing tricks on me, could've sworn i saw Verizon Wireless branding last time i saw it. Nevermind though, just looked at a closeup picture and saw With HTC Sense also just like the HTC Desire has. My fault :)

The Verizon tie-in was from the boot screen.

Wheres the beef? Page after page of "Days of our lives". The first 150 pages were cool, but I haven't seen any substance in days. Go ahead and Start flaming me, at least that may entertain me until some real substance pops up. BTW what happened to ping pong? That spec sheet? Is his time frame of 12 hrs like Gods 7 days?

It's the calm before the storm. Actually, I think most of us are just afraid of missing any tidbit of information about the Incredible.

I don't know if that was a poor attempt to be humorous or you are serious, but please do not encourage bickering and offtopic discussions that are irrelevant to the phone. We don't need another mod-purge on here.

Soooooo.....another day and another 700 or so posts....and still we have bubkiss.....:mad:

Is that pretty much accurate?????:D

*an incredible sigh*

Easy, easy...the ebb and flow of this thread is such that when there is no news all kinds of chat and general banter happens (hopefully somehow at least loosely related to the Incredible/HTC), but where there's news everyone pounces and swarms like piranha on Nemo.

It also doesn't mean that people aren't being stalked, contacts worked, insiders persuaded, etc...

Just stay tuned (and patient)...more info is coming...;)

My take on the blogs that post stories from blogs (and so on):

Yes, "everything is a copy of a copy of a copy" as a narrator once told us over ten years ago.

I totally agree about the irritating blog echoes turned to tweet echoes especially when I mistake them for reporting something new only to find out the "new" story is actually based on a two week old speculative engadget post. I have mostly come to accept this sillyness but it is indeed funny to see how a story's original facts and rumors become transformed as the story makes its way through the seeming endless bile duct of crap blogs.

YESSS!!! HTC replied to me!

As for your inquiry about the HTC Incredible, I am are glad to hear about your interest in the newest members to HTC

can i get something strait here, correct me if im worng: wasn't the consensus of this board that the processor was not under-clocked and the it was in fact running at 1ghz? every semi official source has it 768mhz still. whats the deal.

...poppy needs his 1ghz

I would say it's definitely an old revision, because the speaker port was moved from the notch on the red one to the flat surface on the black. Even so... that doesn't mean we won't see a different flavor of backplate at launch.

No, not really. The black back looked FAR more production ready. With the soft touch black and the Verizon silk screened on it. But I'm sure your hopeful wishing for multiple back plates will tell you otherwise.

Except the photo's have shown the name branded on the back so yes I think its the final name.

There is evidence for and against this. As it happens, I'm a trademark attorney, so I did a little digging. HTC *did* file for a U.S. Trademark registration for the name HTC INCREDIBLE in November 2009. The registration is still pending, but has not yet been granted (which is normal). While this would seem to support the assertion that HTC plans to move forward with that name, two things (from a trademark standpoint) tend to weigh against the likelihood of the use of the name INCREDIBLE. First, many companies will file a registration for a dummy name prior to releasing the actual device, in order to throw off competitors. This prevents others from capitalizing on the mark chosen before it is implemented by the registrant. Apple does this quite commonly (e.g. iSlate --> iPad).

Second, the term INCREDIBLE is what is referred to in trademark law as a laudatory term, i.e. terms like "best" "super" "greatest" and "top" are all laudatory terms. Such terms are generally awarded very weak protection in the United States, i.e., initially the trademark registration for such terms is not strong and the owner of the registration can do little to prevent others from using that mark. In time, the mark may become stronger as the public comes to associate it with a single source.

Trademark attorneys often advise their clients against choosing laudatory marks for the reasons described above. It is therefore very possible that HTC is using INCREDIBLE as a sort of name placeholder until they are ready to bring the product to market. The appearance of the term INCREDIBLE on prototypes, product sheets, etc. is not indicative of the final mark in any event. On the other hand, HTC may feel comfortable enough in its brand identity to release a product with the name INCREDIBLE, despite its widespread pre-release use among the public and its laudatory nature. It will be interesting to see what they do!

I'm not entirely sure who to quote on this, however I believe it was said that during operation, it's at 998mhz and idles at 2xxmhz.

I'm not trying to stir the pot, I'd call it a challenge for a more substantive thread. I still want to see that Incredible spec sheet.. The mod purge wasn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm glad its all back together again, but if this is the official Incredible thread then lets talk about what we know not regurgitated speculation from 100 pages ago. No contempt here just having withdrawals because my Incredible info pool is drying up and its become my life blood. :D

It's the reguritive (sp?) information cycle of the inter-webs. Instead of the old addage of "is there no new, make news!" it's if there's no news, steal it from someone else!"

Yea, sites like engadget are still posting that it is an underclocked snapdragon running at 728mhz.....they need to learn that it operates at 1ghz still :D hopefully it still does at least.

I recall someone asking a while back about the strength of the vibrate mode on the HTC Incredible, but I do not recall what the answer was. Does anyone have any information on how strong the phone will vibrate?
