Root Update FA19 to FE16

I just Odined the phone tar. bout 1/2 hour ago-- signal and 3g got a tiny bit better. still under stock Gingerbread-FA19 build. everything else is still the same as before. If i Odin the pda tar. also, will that change anything for the better?

I took the update, and at first it was slow and had poor service.
I stripped it down to the bare minimums and changed my prl.
It's insanely fast, and I'm getting full service everywhere.
Best of all the data/apps only takes up 21mb of memory.

I'm loving it.

What prl did you use?

I am currently on 12121

I used cdma workshop, and changed it from the stock prl(61008) to 12121.
I'm not sure if that's a sprint or Nextel prl.

12121 is a Sprint Corparate prl probably best one to have. this is one I use and get pretty good signal in most places

as far as anyone's been able to tell, you'll score a neat new lockscreen, but not anything else really.

I did the Odin-phone.tar flash over CTMod and it seemed to have worked.

Says Baseband: FE16 and seems a bit smoother than FA19.


Also got a pull at 2010 kbps. Only done a couple speedtest pulls on FE16, but i never had over 1800 on FA19 (which was still rare).

A 2M pull? OK what is your config and prl? I want that?

Well I'm getting 1200 down but at first got 100 did what I posted seems stable and it never tethered better

I just thought of a possible reason why my 3g has suddenly slowed to a crawl. Does anyone know how to check to see if I've hit the 2.5 gig limit and am being throttled. I'm a JRE and Deathsquad podcast junkie....

i'm on 61007 the stock one that came with mine . and you did the fe16 tar and then the build prop tweaks and get that good of tests???? my tests run around 200-450 now.

You know what's weird when I do speed test from my computer when I'm tethered I get higher results then doing them just on my phone

kinda like i did one on wifi and i get like 450 and then i got 3471. so when tethered running off whatever cp is on. so will prolly be better.

so to get real scores need to do just off phone, no wifi, tether, just plain phone and that is the true results.
do a couple test with just phone and see what they run.

I get speeds all over the place. The 1053kbps is the best I've seen since I got my prevail a year ago.

And it's back to about a consistent 150-200 again...
