Most Over Rated Movie

Avatar. Great visuals, granted, but for me that doesn't compensate for cardboard cutout "characters" and a cliche-storm of anvilicious "humans are horrible" "plot".

true true. the story line is nowhere near as good as its publicly talked about

Spiderman 3 was way way way over rated. The dance number was enough to make me never watch again.

Really? I thought that movie was different then most thriller/action movies

Its not at all though. I think we are now all "pre-conditioned" to look for twists in a movie. I found it predictable. The idea was good but it was poorly executed. At best, I can only describe it as "Meh". A contrived attempt.

I can see where you are coming from, I think what made me like it so much was just the concept

Prometheus anyone?

Has that even come out yet?

Oh and i reccomend no one ever watch junkyard dog, went to a friend's for a movie night and it is quite honestly the worst written, acted, and directed movie I have seen.

I'm going to take a lot of heat for this, but I have to say The Dark Knight. It wasn't terrible, but it was just a typical action movie to me. If Heath Ledger hadn't died, I don't think it would have gotten so much attention. IMO, those over the top performances are the easiest thing for an actor to do. Also, the whole end section with Two Face felt tacked on and unnecessary. This is coming from someone who liked Batman Begins a lot, likes the director a lot, and likes Christian Bale a lot. (check out his performance in The Mechanic if you haven't seen it). I just don't see the worship for The Dark Knight being justified. Overrated.

Also, "Precious" was terrible.
