Most Over Rated Movie

I remember all the critics falling all over one another to praise this movie. To listen to them, this was probably one of the greatest movies ever made. So, I went to see it. It was crap. That's not really a fair statement, I suppose; as anything that rises to the level of being

I will agree being overrated but to me, it was Christian Bale playing Batman overrated.
Heath Ledger made the movie, as a matter of fact i was rooting for him through out the movie.
 
I think all highly rated movies are overrated to somebody. They're usually good movies though.

I agree with most comments. Maybe I think most movies are overrated.

For me The Dark Knight is overrated, particularly because of the 9+ rating on IMDB. As already mentioned I think it's a case of the emperor's new clothes. Yes, Heath Ledger was great, but the film is flawed. Nolan shouldn't have crammed two stories into the one film. It is weakened by the secondary Two Face plot. I liked Batman Begins better. It's a complete stand-alone movie that isn't weakened by being an origins film, where something like Iron Man was.

The Dark Knight is still a good film, mind. Part of one of the best franchises ever.

Prometheus wasn't bad, but its still the same story as alien just in a different wrapper. Plus it has the chic from the original girl with a dragon tattoo. ;)
