Morning everyone! For some reason I thought Apple was announcing the new iPhone today, but I guess it's all developer stuff. Ah well. Be interesting to see what more that steal from Android to add in iOS6 though. :rolleyes:

COMPLETELY forgot Bonaroo was going on this weekend. Pretty sure the CMA fest was going on too. We went to Nashville Saturday and had no clue CMA fest was going on and now you remind me Bonaroo was going on not far from there as well and we went to neither.
 
Haven't been to a big concert in a while. We went to the "last" Dispatch show in Boston in 04 (and it was free! ironically they performed at Bonnaroo this year). It was a hot day, late in July so everyone had water bottles. Well, apparently they thought it would be fun to all start tossing them in the air. We were standing towards the side at that time so we were never hit. It was complete chaos. After the song finished the band had to tell everyone to stop or they'd pull the plug.
Apparently it was a record showing for a concert at the Hatch Shell. Police estimates put it at 100K. By the time the show was over a lot of streets in the immediate vicinity were closed off. It was a great time!

Good morning all! I'm back from the sunny beaches of Myrtle Beach, SC. Wife is on her way back today. It was a quick weekend, but we had a great time.

I got permission to buy a Honda 2000W generator as an early birthday/Christmas present so I'm gonna do that today at lunch before Spousal Unit changes her mind. :D Since I fly only electric model planes and helis, not all flying fields have AC power available. I have an 800W Harbor Freight generator that works well for smaller batteries, but can't handle my 24V, 42A power supply that I charge my larger batteries with. Wife said, "Sure, go get it now, especially if you can use it this flying season." I'll have to send her on vacation more often! ;)
 
Stigy, is it pretty much guaranteed they won't announce the new iPhone? Blogs seem to leave it open ended on what will be talked about. I recall watching the live blog of the 4 and can't remember if it was its own event.
 
Alright, I'll double post.
We're coming up on our 1 year anniversary next week. I'm actually working that night so we'll have to celebrate on a different night. What did you all married folks do? (or Chief, can you even remember? ;))
I'm a little strapped for cash these days, so not sure if much of a gift is an option.

Your wife hates fish too?? We should have a fish fry and not invite the wives, haha. I don't care how she feels about it, but she's going to eat at a seafood joint on vacation this summer. I don't often get a chance to eat fresh seafood so I'm taking that opportunity when we hit the west coast.

That's very good to hear, thanks. I'm a HUGE "Alien" fan and sci-fi horror is one of my favorite movie genres. We were going to see it at Myrtle Beach this past weekend but it was a late movie (10:30 PM) and we were already tired so we decided against it. I think we're going to see it this weekend but try to take in a matinee to avoid the Texting Tweens.

Alien was great. Aliens was that much better. Alien 3 was okay. Everything else after that was an abomination to the franchise. I hope this falls into the former category.

If I remember correctly, we bought each other a small gift ($20 or so), went back to the same hotel we went to the night of our wedding and then to the Melting Pot for dinner which was where we went on our first date.
 
Oh oh oh oh - I saw Madagascar 3 this weekend, it was so awesome.

A 24-year old kid, sitting in a movie theater singing the Afro Circus song is an experience I wish I could share with all of you.

I honestly don't know if they will.

There seems to be A LOT of stuff to announce today so unless they pull a "1 more thing" type deal, I don't see the iPhone announced today.
 
^Agree on the iPhone announcement. I think the refresh is going to be too big to announce alongside the other stuff today. I think you'll see the biggest re-design of the iPhone since it's inception in the next version. Just too big to announce along with the other stuff IMO.

Side note. B-day is Thursday and the in-laws went ahead and gave me my gift this weekend since they wouldn't see me and the wife for a couple more weeks. Hidden below

We did a weekend trip to Hilton Head, SC. Was nice, and actually was our first night away from home since we got married (no honeymoon).

Nothing too exciting.

Edit: Well at least it appears Snooki used an Incredible 2 to take the photos so you know she's an Android lady. :p
